Stay by the sea and experience the unique charms of this Nova Scotia vacation rental. Warm and inviting, this delightful holiday home sits in a large garden high on an ocean bluff and enjoys a spectacular panoramic view of the Atlantic.

Red Head Retreat is a newly renovated century home with a central staircase that divides the open plan living room, dining room and kitchen. The house has been beautifully restored with honey-coloured hardwood floors; wood trim and neutral paint colours. There is nothing to distract you from that marvelous view!

Simply furnished and decorated, this house has everything you need in a vacation rental. The kitchen is fully equipped with an under counter fridge, gas stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. The house is fully wired for internet. There is a flat screen TV in the living room. Board games and cards are available for family time around the dining room table.

With accommodation for four, upstairs there are 3 bedrooms all with ocean views. The master bedroom has a king size bed while the two other bedrooms have one twin bed each. There is a 4 piece bathroom and a stacking washer and dryer on the ground floor.

A large deck runs along the back of the vacation rental and from there you can enjoy a fabulous unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean. It is the perfect spot to while away an afternoon watching birds flying overhead and boats passing by. It's hard not to relax in the company of such delightful natural scenery: blue skies, shimmering sea and fresh ocean breezes.

Set back about 100 meters from the shore line, the garden is safe for little ones and pets to play. The lawn ends at a 20 foot high bluff that is too steep to scramble down. But it is easy to get to the rocky beach by following the garden as it naturally slopes down to the shore line. Once on the shore it is possible to walk in either direction.

So pack your bags and head over to Red Head Retreat for a restful respite from daily living!

Why can't I call the property manager before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
