Truly Spectacular! Set is a private secluded setting (off the highway) the cozy cottage was designed for the comfort and ambiance for 2 guests . Private hot tub, gas fireplace, covered deck with gas barbecue & hammock to sway in the ocean breezes, Simply Heaven! A bright open plan with picture windows welcomes morning sunrises over Otter Point while enjoying your morning coffee in the comfort of your raised bed enclosed in a soft duvet. Honeymoon, Anniversaries, Birthday or just a romantic interlude in peaceful solitude. A true couples retreat !

Getting around

We are located on the Pacific marine Circle Route approx an hour drive from Victoria and 19 km for to town of Sooke where you can shop in 2 large grocery stores. bakeries, liquor stores,and selection of cafe's and restaurants, pubs. brewery outlets, pot shops, drug stores, and a variety of walk about small stores, Clothing, antiques, second hand, and shops only found in small towns.' Visit the local museum, walk the board walk along the waterfront or stroll along whiffen spit. You will find the people friendly and accommodating!

We purchased our property in 1991, after spending months searching for the ideal oceanfront location that offered a forest of tress absolute privacy and quite..We wanted to be on the west coast oceanfront with views over the Juan de fuca Strait and Olympic Mountains. It also had to be south facing to escape the cold westerly winds. It had to be off of the highway and major roads to avoid road noises. We found our piece of paradise tucked into Orveas Bay and protected by the point of land of Sheringham Lighthouse. The 6 plus acres with tall cedars, fir and old growth alder provided the materials to mill and start building.We have lived on our property for 27 years and have been welcoming guests for the past 18 years!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send June & Ron (the owner) a message.

If June & Ron (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
