Description from owner

Description

Villa Seahouse has a unique location overlooking the Atlantic. It sits on a cliff giving 180 degree ocean views and the terraces are not overlooked - something rare. The villa has a stunning interior, engaging with space, light and sea - our architect also designed the MACRO Art Museum in Rome.

Essentially, Seahouse is a comfortable family home. In building and furnishing we’ve aimed to use local and sustainable materials. The villa is available for self-catering rentals and we offer on-call support to guests during their stay. Guest reviews give a good impression of what to expect.

There is 300sq.m of bright interior space with a bridge through a triple-height living and dining area. In the central space you find the salon with direct access to our heated pool, a dining area with seating for up to 12 guests and a well-equipped kitchen. You also have access to a large hammock. The central area has several large paintings and is occasionally used as an exhibition space.

All 6 bedrooms have integral bathrooms, sea views and access to a terrace or balcony. The 6th bedroom is also set up as our TV room with 2 single sofabeds - great for kids.

Villa Seahouse is all about the view!

There are 300sq.m of terraces and balconies. Our heated pool (16m) is not over-looked so offers complete privacy. Terraces have sun loungers and seating with tables for dining outside.

The villa is in a quiet residential area and inside it is a world of its own. A 10-minute walk along the beach or over the old airfield takes you into the small Berber town of Sidi Ifni for the markets, shops, restaurants and even two bars! Sidi Ifni was built by the Spanish in 1930’s and is renowned for its Art-Deco public buildings.

We can arrange transfers from Agadir airport – the drive down takes about 2 hours. Youssef, the manager, can also arrange help with cooking, taxis and car hire, child-minding and day trips - extra charges apply.

“Great location”

Reviewed 2 Jan 2018

The location is excellent just as shown in pictures. Great views of ocean and you can hear waves 24 hours. Weather in December was perfect at 20+, hot but not too hot.Sea temperature was warm too. Sidi Ifni is a quite town with minimal tourists but still plenty to do and food is really good standard. Variety of local dishes as well as pizza, pasta n chips. Locals are friendly, some speak English but majority speak French. The accommodation is really well designed, plenty of books and facilities are good. The manager Yousef visits everyday and is available by phone and text, speaks fluent English and very helpful. Owner is British and was really helpful with advice before the trip and arranging transfers. The villa is 10 years old so has weathered and aged so not quite as shown in photos, hence 4 star rating. Highly recommended, you won't regret going here if you're after a quite getaway with amazing views and sounds of waves.

Owner's reply: Thanks for another great review. I'm pleased you 'got' Sidi Ifni - it has an 'away from the rest of the world' feel to it. Yes, the villa has lots of space and privacy - always great views and light. Of course to get the superb views it's an exposed position with lots of salt and sun thrown at us so we keep working away at repainting and maintenance. As you say, it's very comfortable, guests are well looked after and we'll be happy to welcome you back!

“A perfect place to escape from it all”

Reviewed 23 Aug 2014

A truly amazing property, set in a wonderful location overlooking the sea! The space inside the property was phenomenal, with sea views from nearly every window! My husband and I occupied the Master Suite, with our teenage daughter taking the second suite. Both rooms were extremely spacious and each had their own terrace. Each night we went to sleep listening to the sound of the sea and awoke to it every morning! The pool was lovely - with a constant depth enabling one to stand as well as swim, and although it felt cold initially, once in it was a delight! We swam every day. The temperatures were in the mid 20's I'd say, and due to the constant breeze from the sea it never felt unbearably hot. Most times the sun didn't really make an appearance through the cloud until around lunch time but even so it was still pleasantly warm. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery/cutlery and had some basic spices, oils and other cupboard items too. There was even a dishwasher! There were books galore, dvd's, board games, a tv, a dvd player and a stereo system with Ipod docking station so no excuse for being board if the pool and beach wasn't enticing enough! Peter was very helpful and communicated fully with us before our trip, giving us plenty of information and tips to prepare us for our stay, and he provided further information once at the Villa. We were even given a phone number for the House Manager who was on call 24/7 should we need anything - who was very helpful throughout our stay and arranged several restaurant reservations for us, as well as arranging for a meal to be cooked at the villa (which I would recommend to anyone). We would definitely advise a trip to neighbouring Legzira (about 8km) to see the arches and visit one of the restaurants on the beach and if you do go don't forget to check out the little gift shop too as we bought some wonderful souveniers from here at very reasonable prices! The fish market in Ifni is a great place to grab some fresh fish to take back to the villa and BBQ, and the souk on the Sunday in the old airfield is fantastic for fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and spices as well as jewelery, fabrics and other stalls which are not too dissimilar to the typical UK car boot sales!! The supermarket was pretty good for basic supplies such as milk, cheese, eggs, soft drinks, juices, crisps, chocolate, toileteries etc. and the boulangerie next door sold fresh bread and cakes (although don't be shocked to see masses of wasps in the place, like we first were!!). You can also pick up fresh bread daily from numerous stalls on the sides of the road. Some great wine can be purchased from the bar at the Belle Vue Hotel and if you eat at the Belle Vue you can also order wine with your meal - unlike a lot of the other restaurants where they do not serve alcohol. So, would we return to Sidi Ifni? Only if we could stay again at Dar Bhar!!

Owner's reply: Thanks for your review of the villa and I'm pleased you want to return. Many of our guests come back and for the reasons you have mentioned. I'm glad you found the villa well-equipped. When guests leave we ask what can be done to improve the house and so with your help we keep the villa in good order. This means guests can concentrate on relaxing!

“A great villa in a lovely location”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2014

In Sidi Ifni, this villa is pretty much one of a kind. Most rentals will be in older properties in town (and many of them are fine too) or a modern apartment, but this is a fantastically modern, boldly designed villa, perched right at the top of a cliff, overlooking the sea and with its own pool. Towering ceilings inside make for a really immense living space. The trade-off is that it is a little way out of the town centre - although still perfectly walkable. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time here - especially as 21C and sunny made a pleasant change from January in the UK!

Owner's reply: Thanks for your review. Most guests enjoy sunny days here – our climate doesn’t change much all year. Glad you enjoyed the architecture – it is a bold design and yet with a gentle energy and ambience.

“Dream house, a work of art”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2013

Amazing house and welcoming town Peter, the owner, first imagined, then created, this dream house overlooking the beaches of Sidi Ifni - and we were delighted to have a chance to inhabit it for a week. It is rare that you can occupy a work of art, which this house most certainly is, while also being a haven. We left it only as the mood moved us, sampling the understated charms of Sidi Ifni with its friendly, laid-back inhabitants. Sidi Ifni is a welcoming fishing town with a colourful evening market and relaxed places to eat. We really enjoyed the slower pace and welcoming locals. The beach house, located 10 mins walk from the centre of town is stunning. It is spacious and grand, yet very comfortable and cosy. It is the perfect place to just relax and un-wind. We had plans to visit the local area but ended up chilling out in the house and pool most of the time. A five mins walk down to a long beach allows morning runs and stunning views. You will be well looked after by its owner.

“total relaxing, spacious and friendly place”

we went for the second time with a group of friends to this amazing house, All used to travel a lot, but this place is a place to come back over and over.. Perfectly located view and sound of sea.. nice staff, privacy for each room but also spacious living room. The city is quiet and friendly.. foof and shopping is cheap. It is really a place to relax.. if you need a break from your busy life

“A very happy Christmas”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2013

My family and I spent a week here over Christmas and all loved it. The house is light and open situated above the beach with uninterrupted views over the sea. Although on the edge of town, it’s quiet and private with secluded terraces. The weather was hot enough for daily sunbathing but cooler at night, perfect for comfortable sleeping. The pool temperature was fresh but swimmable! The house is located on the edge of Sidi Ifni and it's easy to walk everywhere for eating out, shopping etc with no need for a car. It’s a friendly town and both Peter, the owner, and Mustapha, the house manager, are very welcoming and informative at the same time as leaving you to enjoy your holiday in peace.

“Fantastic vacation at a beautiful property”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2012

One of the best vacations ever! This beautiful property has served as a base for me and my friends to discover Southern Morocco, and it was a fantastic choice. The location in the small town of Sidi Ifni was perfect - we had easy access to the local shops and the market. When spending time at the villa, we enjoyed the magnificent views of the ocean, the creative architecture of the house, and the superb service of the optional staff. After the adventures of our day-trips to the desert or the mountains, the villa has always awaited us with all the comforts of the modern world. You can safely believe everything that you see on the pictures - it's all there! I can highly recommend this villa to all who want to get away from it all and spend their time in beautiful surroundings.

“amazing views over lap pool [see photos] to the sea”

Reviewed 27 Jan 2012

Sidi Ifni is a remote town to the south of Agadir. It is quiet and non-touristy, unlike Essaoura. I particularly enjoyed the Sunday market. The house is situated on a promontory with a stunning views. I enjoyed the beautiful lap pool which really is as it looks in the photos! The bedrooms are very comfortable with great views and a constant sound of the sea lulling you to sleep which is fabulous. There are a couple of places to eat in the town, but cooking in or asking the maid to make a tagine is also enjoyable.

“Very relaxing, peaceful, beautiful place to stay”

Reviewed 23 Jan 2012

I was blown away by the property when we first arrived. It is bright and airy, beautifully designed and feels very special. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting a chilled holiday without any stress. It has stunning views and is a short distance from the beach which was lovely to stroll along and explore. The owner also recommended an excellent restaurant which had some of the best food I have eaten in Morocco to date. Sadly the weather wasn't great but I did get to dip in the pool on the last day and had it been warmer the trip would have been even better. Either way the bedrooms are lovely and the hammock floor is amazing. Perfect place to lie and read a book for hours enjoying the view of the sea.
