Description

The Mountain Cottage is located in a peaceful remote setting, surrounded by stunning Mountain Views and access to adventure galore! It has been tastifully updated with beautiful local wood accents, warm cozy colors and lots of airy space. There is plenty of room with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a loft den, covered shaded porch, sunny deck, new linens, furniture and comfy mattresses. The Cottage is equipped with everything for a maximum of 10 people plus space to camp if you have extra guests! WiFi, TV & DVD player, BBQ, Outdoor firepit, games, and books all located on 2 acres for you to explore. In season guests can help themselves to culinary herbs, teas, greens and berries from the garden. Children are welcome to play in our park-like setting amounst old growth trees, play area and treehouses. We are Pet and Children friendly, some restrictions apply.

Amenities of Silverton & New Denver are 6- 10 minutes away with many beautiful beaches, trails, cafes, quaint shops, local markets and art venues. The area boosts tranquility, natural simple beauty & is aptly named the SLO-as-you-CAN area. Just sit back relax, listen to sounds of the wind and birdsong while bbqing on the deck. Go for a mountain biking adventure out the back door, climb to the Vistas and the ever popular Idaho Peak. Rent a kayak or canoe and paddle across into the beautiful Valhalla Provincial Park. There is much to do here, see some of our local attractions or just relax at our peaceful retreat in the mountains. Pure Bliss…

In the Wintertime, there is powder snow to discover right on the Mountain out the doorstep! Enjoy snowshoeing, skiing, backcountry access via snowmobile or discover one the many nearby HOT SPRINGS all within a short drive. The Mountain Cottage is centrally located between beautiful Kootenay Villages and Mountain Ranges. Silverton, New Denver and Slocan are the closest with Nakusp and Kaslo just 40 minutes. Larger cities of Nelson and Castlegar are just over 1 hours drive. Sit back and listen to the sound of snow falling in the forest, the crackle of the fire or venture further for many adventures that await!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Monika (the owner) a message.

If Monika (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
