PERFECT LOCATION: Beautiful and cozy rooftop apartment, full of character and light, located in the heart of charismatic Sintra Town. Essentially romantic in character this town was poetically described by Lord Byron as "this glorious Eden". It was declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Original Sintra is not large to visit but it now encompasses two outlying areas named Estefânia and São Pedro. As the older part sits on a granite slope it is best seen on foot or by a horse-drawn carriage. Abounding in history the town is dominated by the two conical chimneys of the Palácio Nacional da Vila that was the summer home of the royal family since the 15th Century. Scattered on the hillside are several historical creations openly showing the diverseness of each original owner's taste in architecture. this house is the passport to a variety of leisure experiences and wellbeing, both in the mountains (cycling, mountain biking, hiking and pedestrians trails, horse riding, etc) or sea (surf, kitesurf, windsurf, scuba diving, fishing, etc), in permanent contact with the richness of the landscape.
PERFECT APARTMENT: This easy going decorated, fully equipped and completely renovated apartment. The ground floor of the flat is comprised of a living-room, dining area, separate kitchen and a service bathroom as well as a sunny tiled outdoor patio with barbecue facilities, in the first floor we have 2 very quiet bedrooms and a bathroom. The entire apartment is very bright, spacious, and with a view to Castelo dos Mouros. It can comfortably accommodate up to 5 guests, making it ideal for a group of friends or a family...
CLOSE TO EVERYTHING: This apartment offers the pleasure of a prime location and proximity to Sintra´s oldest and most popular sites and to the main public transportation network,,2 minutes walking distance to the train stations (30in to Lisbon´s center), including many trams and city buses to the wonderful beaches from Portugal´s Atlantic Coast(15 min).

This apartment is in a great location to explore the splendours of Sintra. It is 5 minutes from the train station and easy to find, located in a quiet street. The apartment is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The description on the website is truthful . The main centre of Sintra is an easy walk. There’s a small but good supermarket just around the corner from the apartment for buying the essentials. I would recommend going to the bars & restaurants near the apartment rather than go into the main town - better quality of food , prices & welcome.

“Great location in Sintra”

We are a family of 4 and we stayed at the apartment for our 2 week summer holiday. It was a great location to explore Sintra's old town and perfect for catching the train into Lisbon. Other reviews mentioned the noise from the trains but we only experienced a gentle hum which didn't disturb us at all. We were also on the right side of Sintra for the best restaurants! On finding the apartment we discovered that the Trip Advisor Google map wasn't correct so I've added a picture to show you a more exact location. The apartment interior was as the photos depicted, bright, modern and simple in design. One review mention an extensive DVD collection, but there's only 5 DVDs, so I would bring your own, as we did. The kitchen was well equipped but because of the outdoor terrace we mainly used the barbecue for outside dining. The only thing we wish we'd had was some sort of view. However we still loved eating and playing card games in the warm evenings. The bedrooms are a good size and beds were really comfy. For a 2 week holiday I wish there were a few more hooks for jackets and somewhere to hang towels. We used the clothes airer on the terrace for keeping our bath towels dry. We never met Francisco but he responded very quickly to texts if we had any questions. All in all this lovely modern apartment suited our family budget and was in a great location! Thank you!

“A gem of a place - just perfect!”

We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer. The apartment was decorated lovely and everything was in good condition & clean. The kitchen had everything you needed, from saucepans, utensils, matching plates etc, 2 different types of coffee machines, plus full dishwasher, cooker etc. The outside area was closed in making it fairly private which was nice. There was even a great selection of dvd's to watch & decent size tv, but with all that Sintra has to offer you won't have much time for TV... What a great location, The apartment is only a very short walk (less than 5 mins) to Sintra train station & the tourist bus (434/435). A small grocery store 1 min away - 2 restaurants less than 5 mins away. Francisco & Joana have put so much thought into ensuring that their guest have a comfortable stay. Thank you for a great stay and we hope to see you soon
