Description

The Crush Pad is a two bedroom two bath home in the heart of the Fairplay wine region. Built in the 1940's, the house sits on Oak studded lands with a seasonal creek and is surrounded by vineyards and wineries including it's own 7-acres of Zinfandel. The home has been carefully restored to it's original state with metal roof, fir floors and board and batten redwood siding. It is rustic and masculine with feminine sensibilities; gourmet kitchen, BBQ, large flat screen TV, eat in kitchen, patio dining, and more. Wrap yourself in all the finest linens that you would expect in a luxury hotel: Egyptian cotton towels, high thread count bed sheets and linen duvets. One minute drive to Toogood Winery and the Fair Play Pub, and easy access to all that Fair Play has to offer including 20+ wineries.

We are also just 15 minutes from Amador/Shenandoah Valley wineries in one direction and Pleasant Valley wineries in the other. There are music and food events every week in the immediate area in addition to a number of restaurants and a coffee shop.

Jenkinson's Lake / Sly Park Reservoir offers cooler temperatures, wonderful hiking, picnic areas, boat rentals and trout and bass fishing. With over 50 ranches, wineries, breweries, crafts, and lots of kid friendly activities, Apple Hill is a classic family destination just 30 minutes away.

The uniquely Californian Gold Rush Towns of Sutter Creek, Amador City and Jackson make another great day trip, just about 1/2 hour away. Unparalleled charm, great food and wines and a rich historical experience await!

Take the kids panning for gold, explore a cave, go white water rafting, skiing, or stroll down Placerville's historic Main Street.
