Welcome to Westburn Seaside Cottage, located on Billings Spit in beautiful Sooke Harbour only 35 minutes from Victoria BC. The village of Sooke rests on the shores of the picturesque Straits of Juan de Fuca and the spectacular Olympic Mountain range.

As soon as the gates open you will feel at home amongst towering trees and lush gardens lovingly created and maintained by the owner. The cottage gardens are alive with birds and the occasional racoon or otter sighting! Our property is a serene magical place with an inviting waterfront that has majestic sunrises, many migratory birds as well as resident eagles and herons. Just a short pathway down the property leads you to the patio at the waterfront where guests can enjoy all we have to offer!

Take pleasure in the natural beauty of Vancouver Island while you relax on our peaceful beachfront acreage. Here in the mature country gardens the flowers are always in bloom and the possibilities are endless.

Relax on your private deck, soak in your private jacuzzi hydrotherapy hot tub, or enjoy a leisurely stroll along the water's edge. In the evening take in the clean ocean air while you cozy up to your beach fire (regulations permitting). Our self contained cedar-shake cottage is available year round. .

Smoking permitted outside on decks, please use ashtrays provided. No parties, quiet outside after 11pm. Property and cottage, including the waterfront, is for the use of registered guests only.

-Pet friendly, $25 per stay, must be leashed on the property, not allowed on furniture, or on rugs if wet. Please do not leave unattended in cottage or property.

Why can't I call Kathie (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Kathie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
