An en suite in a 2.5 acre 500' ocean frontage estate (30-40 minutes from airport/ferry terminals). The "Galloping Goose Trail" bisects the estate. There is a bus stop to/from Victoria or Sooke in front, a great old English style pub a 10 minute walk away.

The en suite has a private patio entrance, a king-size bed, flat screen TV, private balcony overlooking the water, a propane fireplace, and electric heat. An outdoor hot tub is just steps away and a chef's kitchen is available for breakfast. The property/en suite overlooks an ocean cove that leads to the Straits of Juan de Fucca, just 20 miles from Port Angeles in Washington State.

For those who enjoy hiking, walking, bicycling, in-line skating, or horseback riding, the "Galloping Goose Trail", a park that extends 55 km from downtown Victoria, West (Google Galloping Goose Trail). We are five minutes away from a national park that contains multiple trails, incredible scenery, and beaches, incidentally, for swimmers, the summer water temperature within the cove is among the warmest of waters in BC.

Kayak, paddleboard, bicycle and horse rentals are available nearby, as are many other conveniences. For fishermen there are many options. For golfers, there are a number of amazing courses to choose from including is a magnificent Jack Nicholson golf course, 15 minutes away, that has spectacular views overlooking both the City of Victoria and Sooke.

The famous Butchart Gardens (on the Web) would make an excellent day trip (38 minutes by car).

Getting around

Our property is located directly at the 2 bus stops (to and from Victoria, Bus #61) making it desirable for those without a car. From the Victoria Government & Superior #61 Bus Stop it is a 50-minute ride to our home (Stop ID: 102093). We are directly across the street from the bus stop (home has a grey front). See bctransit for details. For those wishing to travel into Sooke the bus ride is 14 minutes, about 8 kilometers to Townsend, the center of the shopping center. In addition to the 17 Mile Pub and Stickleback West Coast Eatery (both close to the home), the town of Sooke has some excellent dining choices (A&W, Chinese, Hara Sushi (Japanese),

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Shawn (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
