Description

A private driveway leads to your entrance - come and go at any time. The 640 square foot suite is a spacious character home, set among the trees, unique and quirky.

The suite has a private bedroom, bathroom and TV room, free WiFi & cable TV. Also a library/ games room and kitchenette with fridge, microwave etc. for light meals

The second “bedroom” has a TV and is also the entrance to the bathroom and driveway. Primary lockable bedroom’s occupants must go through this room.

This is a perfect base to explore the area. The accommodations are on the bus line. It’s an opportunity to sight see all day for just $5. It is also on the Galloping Goose Trail. For the physically fit, one can bike here from Victoria.

Put on the slow cooker and enjoy stew after a day out hiking.

During summer months, bring your BarBQ and we can arrange garden space for your birthday, anniversary or other family get together at extra cost. RV Water and power no extra charge.

Boat Storage and extra vehicle free.

Watch the hummingbirds that winter over in this area. The deers come into the garden and munch on the grass and flowers. Quail traverse the yard twice a day, running in a line and pecking food as they go. Feel free to shoot them... with a camera of course! This house is surrounded by trees and visited by a plethora of wildlife!

Adjacent to Trail: walk or bike Sooke Hyway: drive car or motorbike Bus: on Sooke #61 bus-line (3 minute walk up the road). Walk to 17 Mile House Pub or Stickleback Restaurant. Bike or drive to Sooke or one of the many parks. Galloping Goose Trail at end of road lets you walk or bike to Matheson Lake Park. We have bikes you can borrow and work out weights. Wild garden and gazebo for smoking outdoors.

Interaction with guest

You are on your own but we are just a call away and can be there in minutes. Having lived here for over 40 years we know the area and best places to find the "out of the way" treasures. A set of maps and directions let you find your own way. Coffee, tea, sugar are supplied. Stock the fridge to eat here or walk to Pub or Restaurant for food.

How do damage deposits work?

If Linda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
