Description

This furnished cottage sits on prime beach sand, close to the water. It is newly-built with the following attractive features:open kitchen to dining area and living area. a gas stove creates ambiance in the living room. Three bedrooms, one on the main floor and two upstairs feature king-size, queen-size and double bunks for six persons. Two bathrooms; one with a deep tub and the other with a shower are included. The kitchen features a counter stove, dishwasher and fridge with lots of cupboard space for a week of food items. There is a coffee maker in the kitchen and a barbeque on the deck. You will enjoy a screened in porch to the back and a large deck at the front of the cottage, as well as your own fire pit and beach-side chairs. There is ample storage. Laundry facilities are in Mindemoya, about 20 minutes away. The main home is nearby but far enough away to offer plenty of privacy for the visitor. There are only three year-round homes on this bay so traffic on the beach is minimal.

There is always lots to do on Manitoulin, ranging from summer festivals, country shops, golf and Pow Wows. There is a large grocery store, an old fashioned hardware shop, restaurants, laundry, many other services and a hospital, all located 20 minutes away. Manitoulin hosts numerous attractions including the Bridal Veil falls, Ten Mile Point, the Ojibway Cultural Center, many art studios (popular on Manitoulin) and antique shops. Providence Bay has a great playground for children, a boardwalk and attractions for adults to browse. The Beach House is open in the winter too when great sunsets and dramatic ice shapes form on the beach for the photographer. There is also snowmobiling, ice fishing and cross country skiing available. The internet is not ideal in this area.

Come and have fun on Manitoulin, or just relax on the beach, or in the Beach House in any season. The choice is yours! .

House rules

We have a rural septic field bed that is ideal for small groups. The Beach House is not suitable for large groups or big parties. We limit the number of guests to six to accommodate the available resources. Extra guests have visited from time to time, but in small numbers and that has worked out to date.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Petra (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
