Description from owner

Description

Formally Fishing Point Bed & Breakfast; Fishing Point vacation home is named because of its close proximity to scenic Fishing Point in St. Anthony. This traditional old two storey house was built in the 1940's. It has since been renovated such that you can enjoy its coziness and savoir a panoramic view of the harbour with its whales, icebergs and fishing boats. Our 3 rooms; Partridge Point, Deep Water Point and Fishing Point Cove, are all named after Fishing Berths.

St. Anthony is well known for a number of tourist attractions namely; whale watching and icebergs. It's rich and vibrant history dates back to the early 16 century. The town began to grow rapidly with the arrival of British doctor Sir Wilfred Grenfell in 1892. St. Anthony serves as a main service center for northern Newfoundland and southern Labrador. St. Anthony is only 40km from L'Anse aux Meadows: A Norse village briefly inhabited around 1000 AD. The site was recognized as one of the world's major archaeological properties and is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978. For further information please visit the town of St. Anthony website.

You will have full exclusive use of the house and property. Sit around the beach and have a fire (wood is included in rental) while you listen to the waves or sit on the wharf and enjoy Newfoundland at it's finest!

Open year round! Minimum 2 night booking in the off season (October 1st-May 31st) Excellent snowmobiling, ice fishing, hunting and cross country skiing!
