Detached, traditional, French gite, in a quiet and secluded location with private walled garden and fantastic views.
30 minutes drive from beatiful sandy beaches and also rocky coastline.
Idilic location for a quiet getaway but within striking distance of restaurants and shops with the historic cathedral town of Quimper only 20 minutes drive away.
The gite has an open plan living area with kitchen dining area and living area with large spring base sofa bed.
Upstairs is the large bathroom with shower and bath and the bedroom with dormer window with juliet balcony and fantastic views.
The nearest village is only 2km with shop, bar, restaurant and local produce market.
The nearest town is 10minutes drive with supermarkets, restaurants and shops.

“Relaxing rural retreat!”

The gite was amazing. We were looking for something with some character in a quiet rural location and we had exactly that but with all the mod cons too. The view from the Juliet balcony in the lovely bedroom was amazing to wake up to each morning. Lizzie and Graham made us extremely welcome on their farm, as did their two lovely dogs Harry and Clover. There are plenty of places to visit each day and we really enjoyed the quiet roads! Just beware of shop opening hours for getting supplies, it seems the French have their work/life balance just right! A perfect holiday for our first wedding anniversary.

Ker Herve is a small farm in the beautiful countryside of the Black Mountains in Brittany. It is a traditional farm with beautiful old stone buildings, some of which have been converted into comfortable accommodation but without losing the character of the place. There are pretty gardens to enjoy the views and sunshine and no busy roads or traffic to spoil the peace. A lovely place!

Lizzie and Graham are friendly, welcoming hosts in this old small-holding farm along with ,again friendly, dogs, a cat, horses and sheep. They are doing a fantastic job of converting these old farm buildings in to something rather special. We stayed in The Stables, perfect accommodation for ourselves, with good sized rooms and a wet room style bathroom with walk in double shower, as my wife is disabled. The only step is in and out of the front door and you can park your car quite close to the door so my wife found coming and going fairly easy. The views from the front of the property are fantastic across a very pretty valley and we found it very relaxing just sitting out there reading a book. We had a thoroughly relaxing 2 weeks most of which was spent at or in The Stables.

“Short break in peace and quiet of Breton countryside”

Lovely quiet spot for peace and quiet and easy access to all areas of Finistere. Delightful cottage, well furnished and equiped with private patio sun spot. Huge bedroom and bathroom with area for cot. Best for couple as open stairway to downstairs but otherwise spacious and roomy. Loved the horses in the fields and great walking country, could use a bike too. Need transport. Chateuaneuf du faou is closeby with range of supermarkets, shops banks cafes etc. Good restaurant ovelooking the canal. Would definately return

“Perfect Honeymoon Stay”

We chose this area and gite for our honeymoon and first trip to France and we are so glad we did. We arrived at the gite quite late in the day (around 8pm) and couldn't of had a warmer welcome from Lizzie and Graham the gite owners. They had the wood burner blazing for us and a very much needed food parcel, fresh flowers and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate. The gite was very comfy, clean and surpassed what we'd hoped for and it is set in beautiful countryside with lots of views, natural wildlife and the owners horses, sheep, dogs and cat, it really ticked all of our boxes. It was a great base to explore from and come home to and Lizzie and Graham's knowledge of the surrounding areas and suggestions of places to visit was a godsend. Lizzie went above and beyond being just the landlord, she actually saved me from what could of been a very tricky situation (I'm diabetic and she'll know what i mean) and i owe her a debt of kindness which I hope to repay one day. All in all, fantastic gite, fantastic area, fantastic couple in Lizzie and Graham. Would return in a heartbeat :-D

We had a lovely stay and really unwound from normal life a warm welcome from the owners & their dogs. The cottage is beautifully furnished and is quiet and cosy the countryside is green & rolling with the canal not far away for a lovely stroll

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Liz (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
