Description

Our Stanhope Cottages has kept a historical record of full bookings for consecutive 5 years since 2011. This unique luxury cottage has earned Canada Select's coveted four star rating and has also been selected as a Quality Incentive Program property by the PEI Minister of Tourism and Quality Tourism Services which exemplifies our high standards of cleanliness and state of repair, both of which our visitors have come to expect.

Aside from free access to the provincial parks, we generously offer a free pass to enter any National Parks and Beaches on the whole island for unlimited access. We also provide free bicycles for guests' convenience.

Start your day off with a coffee and a book on the patio of this beautiful two-story cottage. Enjoy cooking or entertaining in the spacious kitchen/diningroom area. The fully equipped kitchen and dining room include everything needed for a gourmet dinner of lobster or shellfish bought fresh from nearby Covehead Harbour. Our aim is to provide all the amenities of home that you would expect -- plus some pleasant surprises.

We offer you a full-size fridge and stove; dishwasher; microwave; ceramic floors; and solid pine cupboards. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, cutlery . . . Everything you will need to make a PEI dinner, whether it be our world famous PEI lobster, mussels, potatoes, corn, or our fresh strawberries.

Living room:

A propane fireplace provides romantic ambiance and plenty of warmth for those rare treasured mornings when the mist envelopes the Island or, on chilly or rainy nights. Get cozy by the fire on the leather couch and enjoy 40" flat screen LED TV with 64 cable channels. We also provide a DVD/VCR and upgraded high speed Wi-Fi internet for your entertainment.

Bedrooms:

Enjoy the simplicity of PEI in our tastefully decorated bedrooms with custom furniture constructed by an Island craftsman. Our beds feature 4-star quality mattresses with matching quilts and pillow shams. Extra pillows and blankets are hidden away in the closet of each bedroom.

Loft:

The kids will love to come back to the cottage after a hot day at the beach and enjoy the air conditioner conveniently located in the loft area on the second floor. This area consists of two custom-built double beds, a dresser, a closet, and a washer and dryer.

Bathroom:

Our 4-piece bath features a hot air tub for your relaxation and comfort. Hot air tubs differ from spas, or hot tubs, in that they are filled and drained with each use. And unlike whirlpools which circulate a mixture of water and air, air massage tubs have small holes along the bottom of the tub that release a steady stream of air bubbles into the tub. Intensity and strength can be easily controlled by the user.

Stanhope Cottages is nestled in tranquil surroundings on Carlie Lane in the heart of Stanhope.

Situated just outside the entrance to the National Park, we are far enough away from the main traffic area to provide our guests with the privacy and relaxation they deserve, yet we are still only a 5 minute walk to white sandy beaches!

Stanhope Cottages is a Quality Incentive Program property which exemplifies our high standards of cleanliness and state of repair, both of which our visitors have come to expect. We offer a variety of accommodations at the three-star rating ranging from a 1-bedroom cottage to a 4-bedroom cottage. We've also been awarded Canada Select's coveted four-star rating on our new three-bedroom luxury cottages.

Whether you want to swim, boat, cycle, fish, golf, or simply relax, Prince Edward Island offers a variety of activities to make your gentle island vacation a dream come true. You can enjoy deep sea fishing, windsurfing, swimming, cycling, bird watching, kayaking, and fine dining, all within 5 minutes of your cottage. There are lots of things to see and do in Stanhope.

Stanhope Cape Beach and Covehead Bay are both conveniently located just a 5 minute stroll from Stanhope Cottages. Stanhope Cape Beach is one of many National Park Beaches located on the beautiful north shore of PEI. Enjoy a morning walk, build a sand castle, picnic, swim, or just relax in the hot summer sun. Complete your day by visiting Covehead Harbour where you can enjoy a sumptuous meal of seafood in Richard's fully licensed restaurant overlooking the Covehead Bay or purchase live or cooked seafood to enjoy in the comfort of your cottage. You can enjoy a morning walk along the white sandy beach, the red soil on the Covehead Bay or along the newly constructed promenade which borders the Covehead Bay from the National Park to the Stanhope Golf and Country Club.

Of course, no vacation on PEI is complete without a deep sea charter from the Covehead Harbour and the spectacular view of the sun setting over the water and the dunes. Both Richard's Deep Sea Fishing and Salty Seas Deep Sea Fishing are located at the harbor in the National Park. Relax and enjoy the sun and water on a charter, tour, or cruise, and catch your own dinner! Experience the thrill of deep sea fishing or take an interpretive tour to learn about aquaculture or the history of the North Shore. Also, it is only 5 minutes drive from our cottage to get to a large Stanhope Golf and Country Club to ensure you have a great golf vacation in PEI. In addition, there are several restaurants or sea foods available around our cottages.
