“Great cottage, lovely walking and places to see nearby”

Reviewed 9 May 2012

I stayed in this cottage with my husband for a long weekend. The cottage was well furnished and we enjoyed the balcony overlooking the courtyard. There are several good pubs within walking distance, and great restaurants and pubs a short drive away in Stockbridge. There's loads to do locally and lovely countrysideoutside the front door. Driving to Lyndhurst in the New Forest takes about 35 minutes.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review and I am glad you enjoyed your stay. It is always lovely to hear that you found the cottage comfortable and that you enjoyed the local area. Look forward to seeing you again in the future.

“Excellent accommodation in a tranquil setting”

Reviewed 21 Apr 2012

A short stay at The Old Barns on a fly fishing experience on river Test. Ideally situated for my fishing and also for my wife to visit local towns and villages. Two pubs that do excellent food can be walked to along the Test Way. This footpath is very near to The Old Barns.
