This property is ideally located in a quiet area of town set back from the road, but only a 10 minute walk from the town centre. As a historical town this charming location offers many interesting things to do and see. This town is ideal also for shopping as it offers an array of locally crafted products as well as luxury goods.

On these beaches you also have the opportunity of hiring umbrella and sun loungers so that you can soak up the wonderful Sicilian climate

Apartment Aurora is located only a few metres away from where the writer D.H. Lawrence was based. Lawrence fell in love with Taormina and stayed and lived here for over 10 years

This rental property boasts typical Sicilian features as well as contemporary touches. Through a private entrance you access this light spacious apartment (90 m2), each room has large terraced doors onto the large private terrace (30 m2) which boasts breathtaking sea views with mainland Italy visible in the distance and views onto the historical town centre of Taormina. The newly fitted and appointed kitchen is fully equipped with brand new electric appliances (including dishwasher, fridge/freezer, hob, oven and grill ).

Interaction with guest

On arrival guests are welcomed to the property by my father Nino, the owner of Villa Aurora. He is local and has fluent English and good conversational French. He will be waiting for you as you arrive and show you to the apartment, give you your keys, show you round and answer any questions you may have. Nino has lots of great tips and recommendations and will gladly help you with anything you may need. Nino lives on the ground floor of Villa Aurora so if guests need anything during the holiday he can be easily reached. He can also assist with booking transfers. In the apartment guests have a comprehensive information booklet with details regarding the apartment, the area and host contact details.

“A wonderful Sicilian experience”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2016

Villa Aurora is a wonderfully authentic and rustic villa with fantastic views from the spacious terrace. It is in a very convenient location with the indoor market, bakers and the main streets of Taormina no more than 10 minutes' walk away. We felt relaxed within hours of arriving there and were out on the sun terrace soaking up the sunshine as soon as we had unpacked (the terrace is wonderful - the sun came round at about 7 in the morning and we saw the last of it at about 5.30pm - this was late August/beginning of September). Nino was a wonderful host and gave us an informative tour of Taormina on our first full day which proved useful throughout our stay. Ask him about the local restaurant that he recommended to us (sorry I can't remember the name) - we decided to try it, he did the booking for us and when we arrived and mentioned Nino's name, 2 complimentary glasses of Prosecco arrived! The food was excellent (their speciality is fish) and we loved it so much we decided to eat out there on our last night. Nino also sorted out our taxis to and from the airport. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We should also mention Francesca; we never met her but she was very helpful and efficient with our booking as well as getting us tickets for the opera. We had a wonderful holiday in Taormina, there was lots to do and, if we visit the area again, we wouldn't hesitate to book the Villa Aurora.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this wonderful review. Dad and I are so thrilled that you enjoyed your stay in Taormina and particularly enjoyed Villa Aurora as well. We were so pleased to meet you and we really hope to welcome you again in the future. With warmest regards, Francesca and Nino

“Great apartment!”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2014

Great stay in this comfortable apartment. Was just as described. Upstairs in owner's villa with modern newly fitted kitchen, wi fi,tv, dvd player and shower room. The star of the flat is the large terrace with views over the town and to the sea where we enjoyed many a meal. And glass of wine. Perfectly located in quiet part of town but within 10 mins easy walk of Corso Umberto, 15 mins walk to cable car to beach and 20 mins to bus station to pick up any day trips. The owner, Nino was very helpful, took us to town to show us the best places to shop and eat and was always on call should he be needed. Would recommend!

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your great feedback. We do appreciate the time you have taken to leave us your comments. At the same time we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Villa Aurora and do hope we will meet you again in the future! With best wishes from Nino and Francesca

“A nice apartment with great owners and a lovely view”

Reviewed 21 Sep 2014

We stayed as a couple for 3 nights for our honeymoon. The owner Nino was very welcoming and often went out of his way to make our stay more pleasant. The view onto the sea is very nice and you can appreciate it from the private terrace. Thanks for a lovely time!

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your honeymoon at Villa Aurora and we really do appreciate the time you have taken to post your comments. We hope to welcome you again in the future and in the meantime send our best wishes to you both from Taormina!

“Breathtaking views. A beautiful apartment”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2014

We were very lucky to stumble upon Villa Aurora. Greeted by Francesca and Nino, we were quickly impressed by the apartment. Francesca even took the time to show us a picture of how this typical Sicilian house stood 100 years ago. The apartment is perfectly situated away from the busy streets of Taormina and really is just 10 minutes walk from the centre. Well kitted out, the kitchen was modern and the bed comfortable. Most important of all: the views from the terrace were absolutely breathtaking. Blue seas and the coast of mainland Italy to your left and Taormina to the right.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for reviewing our property! We are so glad you enjoyed you stay. We wish you all the best and hope to welcome you again one day to Villa Aurora Apartment. Tanti saluti from Nino and Francesca
