LUXURY & VALUE in this private room. We've received excellent reviews on multiple vacation sites!

The room has its own key, home entry code, private bathroom, gourmet coffee/tea, fridge, TV/movies, lovely patio & more. Deluxe bedding, linens, robe & slippers. (Second room option available upon request, for additional fee.)

The room is perfect for professionals, solo adventurers and couples. It is a private room in a smoke-free & pet-free home. The room includes queen-sized bed, private bathroom with shower/tub, smart TV, cable TV, coffee/tea maker, refrigerator, dresser, desk, night stands, iron/ironing board, backrest, window seat and cozy front patio. The room features luxurious down pillows & comforter, heater/fan and ceiling fan. The room has its own door key and all guests receive a unique code to enter house.

Our home is nestled in Tempe's historic Shalimar neighborhood, on bike path, near Arizona State University, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Southwest Institute for Healing Arts, spring training fields, light rail, Sky Harbor airport, restaurants, shopping, groceries, golf, hiking, bike trails, bike rentals, dining, shops, golf, hiking, canal walk & more! It's peaceful, yet offers convenient access to freeways and bike paths.

Guests registering together will be assigned to the same room (queen bed), unless you message us ahead of time to request a special rate for both rooms. FOR 2 GUESTS WISHING TO HAVE SEPARATE BEDROOMS, MESSAGE US BEFORE BOOKING to inquire. We can most likely accommodate you, with advanced notice. If you have feather allergies, with advanced notice, we can put you in our other guest room, which has a double bed and cotton bedding.

Guests have access to the bedroom(s) booked, private bathroom in the hallway, laundry room, swimming pool, tennis/basketball court and front patio. Guests do not have access to the rest of the house. If you wish to have access to the entire house, please see our other listing.

Our home is located in the Village at Shalimar, part of the historic Shalimar Country Club neighborhood. Our neighbors are like family! It's very tranquil, yet accessible to freeways, light rail, bike paths and just about anything you need.

We are a quick 9.5 miles or 12-15 minutes from Sky Harbor Airport. The closest grocery store is 1.5 miles away. The Phoenix Open is an easy straight shot north of us. We're minutes from all East Valley spring training sites: Cubs, Diamondbacks, Angels, Rockies, Giants & Athletics.

The home is right off the 101/202 interchange, near Tempe Marketplace. We are walking distance to health food, grocery, convenience markets, gym, yoga, spa and restaurants. There's a free neighborhood circular bus which connects you from our neighborhood to ASU, downtown Tempe, Tempe Marketplace, light rail and more. We're minutes away on foot from light rail, which takes you to downtown Tempe, Phoenix or Glendale.

We have stayed in many vacation rentals, and we've hosted countless guests from around the world. We have spent months preparing for you, making every attempt to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Our home is not perfect (yet), as our kitchen needs a facelift and laundry room still needs a fresh coat of paint, but we're hoping revenue from guests like you will help us get there sooner.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Kate (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
