Welcome To The Twine Shanty Loft!

Vacation on Ontario's beautiful Bruce Peninsula and make your home-away-from-home The Twine Shanty Loft at "Lee's Dockside" in downtown Tobermory. The Twine Shanty Loft is on the upper floor of an original fisherman's net shed circa early 1940's.

Upper level? Yes, but only 4 short steps from the large parking lot located at the rear of the building.

Historical? Yes, but completely renovated in 2014/2015 with soaring 9'+ ceilings, open concept living room and kitchen as well as 4 generous bedrooms soaked in natural light. These spacious bedrooms boast three queen size beds, and two single bunk beds that comfortably sleep 10 people. The generous living room provides two additional pull out sofas giving you the potential to sleep 14 guests total. The two spacious bathrooms contain sink, toilet, bath and shower facilities.

The open concept kitchen provides all of the modern amenities you could possibly need including: fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, and flatware for the great cook in your group!

Seating for meals is never a problem at The Twine Shanty Loft. The breakfast bar comfortably seats 3, the solid oak table generously seats 8 and 4 additional fold out TV tables are provided to give you all the room you will need for an indoor meal.

Across from the light filled kitchen you will find the open concept living room with a new 50" flat screen TV, complementary Wi-Fi, Blu-ray/DVD player, two full couches, structured chairs and comfortable window seats where you can curl up and enjoy a good book, all this and more basked in beautiful light from the Little Tub Harbour. Just steps outside you will find your own private deck with a patio set, propane BBQ, and a fire pit for late night cozy fires.

The Twine Shanty Loft is so close to the Chi-Cheemaun Ferry that you can see her close by when she is at dock. That's right! You are just steps from the ferry, Flowerpot boat tours, quaint shops, mouth watering restaurants, dive shops, ice-cream parlours, swimming at "The Gap", unique forest trails, art galleries, the Visitor's Centre and all the night life that Tobermory has to offer; all this and you never have to worry about parking!

Tobermory has all the amenities you could need, including: fuel stops, auto mechanic shop, dive shops, boat rentals, marina and marine supplies, grocery, laundry, liquor and beer stores, bank, medical clinic, camping supplies, and a quaint log cabin library! You may even find an old worn out copy of "The Brave Little Mountie" there as it was the owner's favourite book growing up in Tobermory...

At the end of the day, after all the excitement has come to a close we think you will be very happy to come back to your very own oasis at The Twine Shanty Loft, kick off your shoes, and recharge your batteries for the next day's adventure...

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Brenna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
