Description

Designed by architect, Robert Dallas, LaGourrette is a stylish, rustic villa built with ancient materials and is elegantly furnished with an eclectic blend of antiques, modern classics, pottery and art. The house is airconditioned with very quiet Daikin reversible cool/heat units. . Very private grounds feature a boules court and heatable 15 meter oval pool. The main house has five bedrooms and three bathrooms and sleeps 9. A separate self-catering cottage sleeps 2.

In the main house there are two ensuite bathrooms with bath and showers and a third family bathroom.

The extremely private property is set into the side of the Gorges du Loup and has great views of the valley up toward the village of Le Bar-sur-Loup. Below are ancient terraces with orchards that were maintained by monks centuries ago. There are openings in the stone walls where the monks stored honey. In spite of its extreme privacy, LaGourrette is only 4 km from the medieval walled village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup where there are greengrocers, butchers, charming bars and restaurants. From Tourrettes-sur-Loup you have a panoramic view of the French Riveria, the Cote d'Azur. Nearby are the wonderful sites of the Matisse Chapel and the Fondation Maeght where there is a fabulous collection of modernist art of the 20th century.

LaGourrette is only 35 minutes from Nice Airport. There are flights to Nice Airport from all over Europe. Delta/Air France has one flight a day from JFK.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Elizabeth (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
