Many of our guests covet the unique experience that only we can provide. Here's why our place is so special: Different from typical "condos" where you are surrounded by noisy tourists, parking lots and cars, our Historic cabin is one of the first and only remaining original ski cabins in Vail, dating back to the inception of the resort in the early 1960's. Riverside and secluded, surrounded by Forest Service protected undevelopable lands, it is not at all uncommon to see wildlife right from our windows/deck. While MOST places these days seem to advertise pictures of views from "nearby", ALL of our images are taken right from the deck or windows of our home on our acre of land that is surrounded by Forest Service open space. And to be honest, most people say our pictures don't even do our views and privacy justice. Meanwhile and amazingly, we are RIGHT IN East Vail, just a few steps from the FREE Town of Vail shuttle bus to the slopeside and chairlifts or shops and dining. The free shuttle bus is only a short walk, and the bus ride itself only takes about 10 minutes. Also, we are walking distance to the equally quaint East Vail Market Place store in East Vail. If you'd rather drive than take free public transit, we are just 5 MINUTES from the slopes on the highway! We offer full kitchen, living room with recliner, t.v., dvd, dining area, LARGE deck 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and wood burning fireplace and the BEST, most secluded VIEWS in Vail. Our location has also been renown by our guests and Vail locals for its amazing access to fantastic cross country skiing, hiking, ice climbing, mountain biking and kayaking RIGHT FROM OUR FRONT DOOR! Owner's reply: First of all, if you are reading this review, I'm sure you can tell how ignorant this person is. Most of this review is completely irrelevant, or else just plain false. He spends half his review telling you how he doesn't like Vail. What does that have to do with reviewing MY PLACE? If you don't like Vail, post a review of Vail on google reviews, but that does not belong on a review of my home. Second, he admits our place has beautiful scenery, which we do, but somehow we are "ugly". Which is it? He raves about how nice all the huge houses are that surround us. Guess what!! Those houses are multi-million dollar trophy homes that, if they did rent to tourists such has him, would literally charge 10 times as much as we do. If you are completely ignorant of what it means to rent a house, then you probably shouldn't be reviewing. Next, we gave Jason clear instructions on how to access open space trails, waterfalls, etc, that we have one of a kind access to, but apparently he can't read any better than he can write a review. As for parking, we do NOT rent the basement, no one stayed there during his stay with us, and we do have 1 to 2 parking spaces for our guests. HOW MANY PARKING SPACES DO YOU NEED! We do NOT allow huge groups of people, (which Jason illegally had), to bring several cars and park. No condo would allow you to have several parking spaces either. At least not without paying extra for them. Along those same lines, as to his other irrelevant nonsense, We have PLENTY of room to sit, if you aren't bringing in WAY MORE PEOPLE than you said you'd have! Last but certainly not least, unlike other websites that allow you to review your guest, Tripadvisor doesn't, but Jason and his huge group absolutely trashed my home, being the ugly, ignorant, stupid slobs that they are! In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

- How do I edit my booking?
You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Peter (the owner) a message.
If Peter (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
