Description

Enjoy this large, modern loft style 2 bedroom penthouse, with private rooftop terrace. The building is secure with a concierge, and underground parking. If you are coming for an extended stay, this is the place to call your home!

The large living area is comfortably furnished to lounge and relax and you can cozy up to the electric fireplace in winter months. Floor to ceiling windows allow lots of light and views over Chinatown and the mountains.

The dining area overlooks the city with seating for six.

The kitchen features walnut cabinets, bright quartz counters, a gas range, build-in oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. You will find all the tools, accessories on hand to make your own meals. There is a Nespresso machine, teas, seasonings and more.

The master bedroom features a king-size bed, a patio for your morning coffee, large walk-in closet, and ensuite bathroom with soaker tub and separate glass shower.

The cozy loft bedroom has a built-in queen size bed with storage underneath. A closet and full bathroom at bottom of stairs make this a comfortable perch on the top level. The loft leads to the roof terrace but is not open to the living area so it is very quiet and private.

Just outside the upper level, the lovely, private terrace has a gas barbecue, lounge & dining furniture. It's an urban retreat with gardens and panoramic view which includes downtown.

This is our home so you have access to everything you need to be comfortable and ‘be at home’ yourselves. We equip and furnish our home with everything a guest needs for a few weeks or more.

There is a well-equipped gym on site.

The Strathcona/Chinatown area is diverse and exciting. Transit connections are excellent and this is a prime walking area. You can walk to the centre of downtown in 15 minutes; to the Gastown entertainment district in 10 minutes; and the Convention Centre in 20. If you want to be near the water, you are less than 10 minutes to our lengthly Seawalk. Popular restaurants and bars are very close at hand. Yet no street noise penetrates the apartment.

We will be here to greet our guests and thereafter, will be available 24/7 by phone, text and email. We hope you enjoy this beautiful part of the Pacific Northwest. Your comfort, security and wellbeing are important to us so we make ourselves available if needed.

Other things to note:

Unfortunately, this condo is not suitable for young children. The second bedroom in loft is very separate and may not be safe for them.

We do not charge for parking but we need advance notice to make it available for you.

No bikes permitted in hallways or apartment. There may be no bike storage on site. We leave information for bike rental for the day and the economical city-wide bike rental service is close at hand.

No parties, receptions or sales calls will be tolerated.

All guests must be pre-registered with owners.

A copy of Strata Bylaws will be provided.

Getting around

The train station and long distance bus stations are less than 10 minutes away. Local buses are about one block away. You do not need a car unless you will be travelling outside the city, and even so, suburban and interurban connections are close. The area is very walkable. Downtown, entertainment venues for sports and concerts, historic Gastown, and the lengthly Seawalk are 10-20 minutes on foot. Restaurants, bars and Chinatown are on your doorstep. The city's bikes are very affordable and bays are close by.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Elizabeth (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
