Description

The apartment is situated within a typically colourful Goan holiday complex. The site is set amongst quiet, palm tree lined roads and lies between Varca village and Varca beach. Varca beach is a beautiful and peaceful and unexplored part of Goa's coast, with golden sand stretching for miles along the edge of the Indian Ocean. Restaurants serving freshly cooked food at amazingly low prices are dotted along the roads leading to the beach and along the beach itself where, as darkness falls, candle lit tables are placed against the backdrop of the rolling sound of the ocean. Varca village is a five minute walk away where you can find two supermarkets, ATMs, a chemist, an internet café, local shops and restaurants. If you get bored of eating, reading, swimming and sunbathing, you also have the option of paragliding, jet skiing, dolphin spotting or, if you hire a taxi or scooter, visiting the spice plantations, riding on elephants or exploring the World Heritage Site

“Nice place to stay in South Goa”

The apartment is very spacious. It has two big sized bedrooms and a large living room with open kitchen. The beds have good mattresses and the house keeper provides pillows, bedsheets and blankets. We needed extra pillows and blankets, and the apartment manager obliged. One common bathroom and one attached to the master bedroom. There is one geyser in the common bathroom which supplies hot water to both the bathrooms. Two big air conditioners - one in the master bedroom and one in the living room. I think both of them can cool the whole apartment. One fridge, one four gas burner hob with gas cylinder, one microwave, an electric hot kettle and a few utensils. There is also a dining table, sofa, wardrobe, and a TV with cable. There are three balconies overlooking the garden and the swimming pool. The swimming pool had clean water and there is a separate area for kids. The beach is about a mile away. One can walk down to the beach but I think a vehicle would be better for that distance. We had our own car. There is a supermarket nearby and also a few minutes walk from there, past a church, you find more shops, supermarkets, ATMs, internet cafes etc. Closer to the beach there are a few good restaurants, particularly one could check out Garden Court. There are a few shacks on Varca beach as well. Varca beach is very quiet even during the peak season when we were there (New Year's eve). The nearby Benaulim beach is bit more lively but not annoyingly crowded like the next beach Colva. We had some issues with the mobile signals but we did see others using their mobiles without problem. The site manager, Corine, is a very nice and considerate lady and helped us with our problems and requests. All in all, a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Joanna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
