PLEASE NOTE - THIS ACCOMMODATION IS AVAILABLE ONLY DURING THE MONTHS OF MAY, JUNE, JULY & AUGUST to allow for UVIC students rental space during the school year. It did not operate during the summer of 2018, hence no reviews from that year.

Stunning updated circa 1930's Arts and Crafts mansion located in central Victoria, British Columbia. Minutes from downtown and the harbour, Camosun College and the University of Victoria and Hillside Shopping Centre. One of the most centrally located properties in the city, the 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom fully equipped apartment has been fully updated in August 2016. MOST EVERYTHING IS BRAND NEW! The interior has been fully painted, the carpets replaced and cork floor offers warm and inviting comfort in the kitchen and bath area. The apartment is located on the top floor of the mansion (24 stairs up so may not be suitable for elderly guests or young children). The suite contains two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and the second with a king bed. Top quality linens of 600 thread count and higher offer luxury during your sleep. Down pillows and comforters complete your restful evening. The home offers a wonderful living room area with a 42" flat screen HD Smart TV, a Bluray DVD player. A comfortable 6 seater sectional welcomes you to settle in and enjoy your favourite TV show, movie or novel. Over 12 pieces of stunning original global art adorn the walls. From the moment you enter this one of a kind home, you will feel the warm inviting colours and have a sense you have entered a fine art gallery.

This very private 1/2 acre of land is located near Camosun College, UVIC and Hillside Shopping Centre in central Victoria. Very quiet noise free residential street. It is a 3-minute walk to multi-frequency bus transport to every part of the city including UVIC. The suite also offers its own patio for relaxation, reading or dining outside on the table.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to prepare your own meals or snacks. There is even a WOK and microwave oven.

Without question, this apartment offers one of the most private and tranquil locations in all of Victoria, and with the recent updates, make it seem as if the building is brand new. Be in the city, yet in the old growth forests of this magnificent neighborhood.

Getting around

I always recommend to my clients that they rent a car when visiting Victoria because they're so many areas to see outside of the central core that a car just makes traveling the area so much easier. However if renting a car is not in your plans the local Transit is literally a three-minute walk from the home. It's frequent because it's the university route so you rarely wait more than 5 or 6 minutes for a bus to take you downtown to the core in less than 10 minutes.

Interaction with guest

My interaction with guests is limited as I travel extensively and may not even be on site during your visit. Independent travelers are best suited for my apartment.

House rules

Children must be at least 6 years of age. There are 22 stairs outside the home to the top floor suite. Hence my decision to not have young children in the home. It's a safety matter. If you are bringing a dog, the breed MUST be pre-approved. $25 per night. This is a very quiet neighborhood so no parties and no more than 4 guests maximum. There is an additional charge for all guests above 2 people. There is a $75 exit cleaning fee collected upon check-in.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
