Our wonderfully appointed private and fully self-contained ocean-view suite has been carefully designed and outfitted to exceed those objectives. Cleanliness, comfort and thoughtful details are just the starting point. Our 5-star concierge-like service is the difference maker. With many years of award winning hospitality service in tourism, we understand the ingredients that go into a ‘magical’ holiday.

Away from city noise yet minutes to shops, banks, hiking, golf, and many south-island attractions, our vacation home is the perfect choice. Off-street parking and private entrance allow for a trouble-free, come and go as you like vacation. The pampering begins with the soothing warmth that greets your toes from the in-floor radiant heat found everywhere throughout the suite. The humidity controlled HRV system recycles air every 4 hours. The on-demand hot water boiler means you’ll never be out of hot water and compliments all our home’s enviro-friendly mechanical systems. As you awake, reach for the remote control, lower the window coverings and take in the breath-taking ocean view: the 565 acre old-growth Douglas Fir forest and lagoon at Royal Roads University, Fisgard Lighthouse at historic Fort Rodd Hill National Park, City of Victoria, cruise ships, freighters and plenty of marine traffic, and on clear days, marvelous Mt. Baker and the Cascade Mountain range just behind the San Juan Islands. Oh, in the evening enjoy the same view with the added bonus of twinkly city lights beneath starry skies while soaking in the tub. Magical!

Your luxurious home-away-from-home is equipped with Miele and Bosch appliances, Natuzzi leather chaise lounge and swivel chair, solid wood furnishings throughout, tasteful art selections and accents that reflect this gorgeous part of the world you’ve chosen to visit. Your kitchen is fully equipped and ready for your most daring culinary adventures or… warming pizza; you choose! Missing something? Just ask, we’ll do our very best to help.

The bed is a queen sized leather-framed Scandinavian design and there’s plenty of closet space along with a 5-drawer dresser. The tasteful décor found in the bathroom sets the scene for more pampering. The glass-door on the shower allows for taking in the view while the Maax Jazz tub was chosen to allow for a ‘pleasurely’ satisfying soak. A convenient ‘towel-tree’ stands beside the Italian granite topped maple vanity and the water closet with its maple door allows for privacy.

Need a little space after a long day of ‘togetherness’? That’s where the Den comes in. There’s a desk for writing a letter or e-mail. (There’s reliable Wi-Fi/Internet throughout the suite). A comfy love-seat to curl up on and read a book or…? For a romantic evening, curl up in the living room in front of the fireplace and enjoy NetFlix, or listen to iTunes, YouTube or? A great time to crack open an award winning bottle of Vancouver Island wine; there are many to choose from!

Outside you will find 2 large terraces surrounded by understated greenery so as to not detract from the magnificent panoramic views. Patio furniture is light and manageable and can be moved to suit your whim; sunny and warm with a view or, on hot days, shaded comfort (with a view).

A note about being pampered: The garden-bed outside your suite is filled with fresh herbs available to our guests as desired. As a self-catered BnB (Bed & Breakfast) you will be offered a selection of yummy breakfast materials, made available for each day of your stay.

House rules

Thank-you for your understanding. As a licensed and regulated Bed and Breakfast we can legally accommodate 2 adults only. As such, our insurance coverage is good for 2 adults as well.

We love pets but due to our allergy problems and out of concern and respect for guests with similar issues we kindly ask that you respect our 'no pet' policy.

Likewise with smoking, we want to offer a vacation space free from smoke and our neighbors appreciate our "No Smoking anywhere on the property" policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Laurie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
