The spacious two storey condo is a stylish heritage conversion perfectly located in the heart of old-town Victoria. What sets this meticulously restored building apart is that it meets modern building requirements, yet preserving one of Victoria's heritage treasures, the famous 127 year old Victoria hotel. Originally built in 1892 as a first class hotel designed by architect Thomas Hooper, it is now the perfect blend of modern facilities with the romance and magic of old-world design.

Located at one of the hippest intersections in the city's commercial core, the rows of storefront and upper storey windows of this building provides an intermediate connection between the historic Old Town and Chinatown.

Dear Valued Guests, The Government has implemented two additional taxes on short term vacation rentals (under 30 days stay) in BC on top of the current 5% GST which takes effect October 1, 2018 ; these new taxes are as follows and will unfortunately be added to the total rental:

1. The Provincial Sales Tax, PST 8%

2. The Municipal & Regional District Tax, MRDT 3%

* Long Term stays:

The platform unfortunately does not yet have the means to separate the taxes and distinguish Short term rentals versus long term stays so for long term stay bookings, the taxes will be ADDED and then the 11% (PST & MRDT taxes) that is not applicable will be refunded to you.

We do understand that these new taxes increase the overall cost of your vacation and in helping to alleviate any additional cost to you, our nightly prices have remained the same for the past two years and will continue to remain unchanged and affordable.

We ask guests to be respectable of our home as if it were your own.

*Please do not sit on the sofas and bed sheets with suntan lotions, it leaves a permanent stain on the fabric.
* We ask that you do not wear stiletto shoes on the hardwood floor (teak floor) softer than regular hardwood.
* This unit is not suitable for large events, no stag/bachelor parties.

Owner's reply: Hi Richard, Thanks for your feedback. Downtown Victoria is very central and busy. If you are not used to the city noise, we suggest ear plugs although the installation of the white noise machines, we've been told has helped to reduce the sound. We are however working with the building manger to replace the windows given its historical background. The parking fee was also clearly stated on our website page in normal print as are other fees.. Why can't I call Graham and Wendy (the owner) before booking?

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I view and manage my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to view all your booking details, pay the balance of your holiday or cancel it if you need to.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

We’ll automatically charge the balance payment to the same payment method 10 days before it’s due. Go to Manage my holiday booking to see when the payment will be taken.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Graham and Wendy (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Graham and Wendy (the owner) a message.

If Graham and Wendy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
