Description

The Balcony House was lovingly restored in 2014 to bring the comforts and style of modern day living to this beautiful home, whilst still retaining the charm of a village dwelling.

The house provides bespoke luxury accommodation for 2 - 4 people and is furnished in a contemporary style, to the highest of standards. The house can accommodate 6 people although this requires the use of the L shaped sofa in the lounge as beds for the 2 additional guests.

Downstairs offers open plan living, with a large space for cooking, dining and relaxing. The lounge area has a traditional open log fire which is an added bonus in the winter months! From here, doors open onto the outside terrace where guests can enjoy the comfortable outside space with views of the swimming pool below and beyond to the vineyards in the distance.

The house has a wrap around balcony which can be accessed from both bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king size bed with marble en-suite bathroom. French doors lead out onto the spacious balcony - an ideal place for a relaxing drink at the end of the day. The second bedroom has large twin beds and access to a separate bathroom opposite.

The property ensures guests have total privacy and seclusion, and provides the most stunning views across the valley.

Please note that the property is unsuitable for people with reduced mobility, as the terrain is rocky with uneven paths and road surfaces.

A car is essential due to the remote location of the village!

Due to the remote location of the village, a car is necessary to explore the local area.

The property is managed by Andy and Nic (two very good friends of mine) who live in Cyprus - they also have a house in Vouni so they will be able to answer any questions you may have about the local area. They are both Interior Designers by profession and have been an integral part of transforming the Balcony House into my dream home, so they are best placed to show you around and let you know how everything works! In the unlikely event that there are any problems during your stay, Andy & Nic will be on hand to resolve any issues or concerns you may be faced with. Failing that - I am always available to speak to on the phone should you need any further advice.

House rules

The property caters for guests with children. There is a balcony on the second floor and open steps down to the pool - boundary fence is made up of taut wire and is not closed in so caution in the above areas is needed.
Smoking is only permitted in outside areas of the house (NOT inside) - guests should use ashtrays provided at all times.
Use of the pool is at guests own risk
Wood that's provided should be used on fire - fireguard must be used at all times
Dogs allowed with prior agreement

“Perfection in a traditional Cypriot village”

Balcony House, Vouni is perfection. A quiet, private hideaway tucked away down a cobbled street in a traditional Cypriot village with awesome views and within a short walk of two Taverna's. Being 800 metres above sea level Vouni also has the benefit of a cooler, less humid summer climate with idyllic evenings. The property is a high quality renovation of a village house and is fitted out and equipped to a very high standard with impeccable taste. AND...all managed by an attentive but not intrusive management team. I would recommend the property without any reservations

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
