With the capacity to accommodate 6 guests, this lovely antique home is the perfect spot to bring your loved ones to recharge in the charm of Ellis County.

Before England's Richard Vickery built his empire in Fort Worth at the turn of the century, he began his career in Waxahachie, constructing The Vickery Home in 1885. It's been showcased in both Christmas and Gingerbread tours,and the adorable guest house behind it is attached to 1 of the only 4 bay carriage houses still in existence in town.

Upon arriving, you’ll immediately fall in love with this quaint cottage. Make your way to the patio area, where an outdoor table sits, nestled beneath a canopy of trees, offering the perfect spot to sip your morning coffee while reading a book.

Inside, the home offers 900 square feet of comfortable living space with vibrant red walls and antique decorations throughout.

The living area features a drop leaf dining/craft table, an antique twin-sized bed, a sleeper sofa and shelves filled with movies, toys, puzzles and books for your enjoyment.

A hallway leads to the well-equipped kitchen, which offers a full-sized refrigerator & freezer, a toaster oven, a single electric burner, a double sink, a microwave, and ample counter space to prepare home-cooked meals.

The recently renovated bathroom includes a large, claw-foot bathtub and shower so you can rinse off and cool down from the summer heat.

When you’re ready to unwind for the night, head back to the bedroom, which contains a desk, a loveseat, a twin-sized bed and an organic, plush, king-sized bed. You’re sure to have many peaceful slumbers while staying at this quiet property.
