If you're looking for a Catskills weekend cabin rental, week long getaway, or seasonal rental in the Catskill Mountains, we invite you to enjoy your vacation stay here.

Our cottage is located in the Town of Prattsville, NY, Greene County, about 2 ½ - 3 hours from New York City. Prattsville is a small, historic town (about 650 residents) in the northwest part of the county, located on the Catskill Mountaintop where Greene, Delaware and Schoharie Counties meet above the Schoharie Valley.

Inside the cabin: two bedrooms, kitchen with dining area, small living room and a bathroom.

Bedroom 1 has a queen and single bed (sleeps up to 3 people).

Optional 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed and a twin bed (sleeps up to 3).

When renting for 2 or 3 guests 1st bedroom (with loght pink walls) is offered to provide more affordable rates for smaller groups, and avoid extra heating/cooling and cleaning. The other bedroom gets locked (no one else is in there) or can be made available for an additional fee. Both bedrooms are included if rented for 4 - 6 guests.

Couples can enjoy privacy of the two bedrooms provided when renting for 4, which are at the opposite sides of the house and separated by a hallway.

NOTE: Even though maximum number of guests is listed as 6 persons, it is limited to maximum 4 adults and maximum 2 children total (we only allow up to 4 adults or up to 4 adults with up to 2 children 12 y old and up, unless otherwise agreed upon, and require that there are no children without an adult in either bedroom, due to previous problems).

Living room has a TV with basic Cable TV Programming.

Wireless High Speed Internet connection is available.

Kitchen plus dining area includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, basic pots and pans, dishes, glasses, utensils, coffee maker. Please be aware that the stove top works but not the oven in the kitchen. There is no toaster and we do not allow guests to bring any electronic cooking devices due to past problems.

NOTE: Guests are NOT allowed to use the wood stove per our insurance policy and rental agreement, no exceptions.

Outside the cottage guests are welcome to use the grill and relax on our porches and chairs by the table.

Cottage has two large porches available for guests to use.

We supply things to start you off with. Grocery store is within 5 minutes walk if you need more napkins, toilet paper, etc.

Please bring paper towels or charcoal for the grill.

Cabin is located on a small dead-end side street, so there is no traffic, besides residents that live in the area. There are houses and neighbors near by, as you would see in any other town. We are NOT "in the woods". We are in walking distance from Main Street.

In addition we also offer a small bungalow, next to the cottage, which fits 2 guests at very reasonable rates and an 1bd apartment in Windham. See CatskillBungalow for details.

We are conveniently located near Windham Mountain (10 miles away) and Hunter Mountain - (15 mi).

Enjoy the beauty of Catskill Mountains surroundings! Ski during winter season and have fun at the local festivals during spring, summer and fall.

Take a walk from the cottage to the nearby Schoharie Creek with public beach area or Pratt Rock Park for a picnic with beautiful views. On your way you will find a museum, grocery store, couple of bars and a diner.

We are about 5 miles from Gilboa Reservoir.

We invite you to relax and enjoy your stay at any time/season of the year.

3 nights weekend (non holiday) discounts: please ask.

One week stay - if you choose Sat-Sat higher rate would apply as it overlaps two weekends.

Basic Cleaning Fee: $49/stay or once a week for longer stays

Additional Person charge (after 2 guests): $25/night/person;

Prices for up to 3 people includes 1 bedroom.

Optional 2nd bedroom: $25 - $50 /night (Depending on length of stay and number of guests. Included when booking for 4 or 5)

Check In/Check Out: : Cabin is ready for guests from 3:30PM on the day of arrival.

Check out hour is at or before 11AM.

Earlier check in or later check out might be available for a fee, but can only be confirmed last minute, if there are no guests checking out on your arrival day, or checking in on your departure day.

SAME DAY BOOKINGS/ARRIVALS: if you're booking the day you would like to arrive, please know that it may take few/several hours to prepare and/or heat the cabin for you.

Car preferred, local taxi services available. You can also take advantage of the bus that goes through town twice a day in each direction between Oneonta and New York. It will take you to Windham or Hunter.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Ella (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
