Create wonderful memories. Enjoy large and generous open spaces indoors and 6 private acres of outdoors for a wonderful place to relax and enjoy. Delight at having a complete and private spacious home at a fraction of the cost of staying at a hotel or inn. Watermark is a safe haven for all ages.

Only a short seven minute drive from picturesque St. Michaels, Watermark delights with 5 mile views right across the blue waters of the open Bay with sail boats racing the breeze, punctuated by the oohs and aahs of seeing massive ships traversing in the distance.

Watermark, the house, is well over 6000 square feet of comfort. Enter into a wall of windows overlooking the Chesapeake bay, grounds and pool. Enjoy the spacious layout and naturally lit layout. There are 20 sliding glass doors and 24 windows, some 6 feet wide that bring in natural light and nature views. Over three thousand square feet in common areas with nooks and crannies accommodate all. Watermark is fully wheelchair accessible on the first floor.

A large glass walled dining area opens right into the gourmet kitchen with professional AGA stove. Eat in or alfresco under the covered outdoor deck, making for many relaxing family dinners and extended scrabble games. Step into the high ceiling living room to enjoy a fire or watch entertainment on the 75" 4K and 65” HD TV. Entertain at the bar with fridge and dishwasher. Yes, we have high speed internet (60mb/sec) and WiFi in the house.

Of the five bedrooms, four are large 400 sq/ft plus master suites each enjoying luxury bathrooms with separate showers and Jacuzzi tubs. Each master bedroom is furnished with king size beds with luxury mattresses and pillows, and twin daybeds with trundle. Take your pick from Fox Den, Eagles Nest, Herons Hideaway, Turtle Cove, and Falcons Perch.

Enjoy high-speed WiFi, large 75" 4K and 65” high definition TV, movies, sports, Xbox 360 with games as well as the game area with Foosball, chess/backgammon, card/poker table, board games and reading from our stash of books!

Outdoors, enjoy the sparkling swimming pool, relaxing on the hammock, eating al fresco on the patio, barbecuing (propane), or gathering around the fire pit.

Hang out at the dock. Crab at low tide. At low tide, enjoy the private small beach where the shallow drop-off makes it perfect for kids to play in the sand and water. Unlike the ocean beaches, our shore on the Bay is a natural living shore adjacent to the wetlands that provide breeding grounds and great diversity for fish, birds and other species that inhabit the beautiful Eastern shore. Depending on the wind and tide cycles, our low-tide shoreline varies from very small to very large sandy strips. It is great fun to wade out and watch the thousands of baby fish, net crabs in season and explore shallow bay. (You crab at low tide by simply walking out to the sea grasses with crabbing nets. Scoop them into the provided 5 gallon bucket)! As the tide rises, use the included four kayaks to explore the surrounding waters or rent the sunfish sailboat (additional cost). Unlike creeks, the open bay provides long stretches of shallow water ideal for kids, kayaking, windsurfing and kite surfing. Enjoy a cooling rinse in our refreshing outdoor shower.

Bring your bikes! Both St. Michaels and Tilghman Island are wonderful destination bike rides on large dedicated bike paths on Tilghman Island road. This area is well known for it flat and scenic biking.

For those who enjoy nature, your morning sightings may easily include bald eagles flying overhead, regular visits by osprey or the resident heron peering into one of three ponds hunting for fish. Enjoy the cool breeze at the dock. Watermark is a Maryland natural habitat. Part-time caretaker/woodworking atelier in outbuilding. Please note that the property is not suitable for hunting parties. Upon request (additional charge), we can arrange for an expert naturalist or fishing guide.

We are just a few minutes from the Golf Course and the Inn at Perry Cabin. If you are seeking a place for family and friends to stay, Watermark is a ideal (if not much better) alternative.

We welcome travelers who are attending weddings, receptions, retreats at other locations around nearby St. Michaels. However our license does not allow weddings and receptions.

If you are looking for an small retreat to inspire, brainstorm or solve vexing issues away from the office, Watermark welcomes you.

We can also arrange for (at an extra cost):

- Family photographer - so everyone is in the photo and it's done right.

- Private Chef - so you can enjoy your evening and have a gourmet meal

The St. Michaels area is an amazing leaf peeping gem right close to the Washington, DC area. You will be stunned by the colors rivaling Vermont and surprised at the beautiful interplay with the Chesapeake Bay waters. Please come and have a look! Peak colors are in October up to mid-November.

Owner's reply: Jenijh - We take all calls from guests seriously and respond in a timely manner. The pool service was called and it was determined that pool toys were preventing the pool vacuum from working properly. It was corrected. The exterminating company came and within a few hours corrected the ant situation We request no heels because are floors are pine and being a soft wood can easily damaged by high heels. Bay areas have small sandy beach areas unlike ocean beaches.

How do damage deposits work?
