“Istanbul family holiday” Our family of four stayed in this gorgeous apartment for approximately two weeks. Its location is superb - a minute's walk to the Galata Tower, restaurants, tourist shops, and small (super)markets. The apartment is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The beds and sofas are comfortable. The bathrooms are excellent. The apartment has a shared roof terrace offering superb views - you can see the "old city" and its mosques/palaces, as well as the Galata bridge and surrounds. The kitchen has all modern appliances to a high standard. Prior to arriving, all negotiations with owners were smooth and trouble-free. We were met at the airport on time and driven straight to the apartment and then met by an English-speaking representative who explained the apartment's facilities etc. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

“Magical villa set in a perfect location for peace and quiet,yet a stones throw from the town.” "When you encounter something by chance that seems like it was meant to be, then it could be kismet, your destiny." Villa Kismet is so aptly named, a home from home set in idyllic Kalkan. Welcoming and feels so well planned, the design of the villa works brilliantly for a group of friends, family or even just two people. Indicative of how lovely, calm and relaxing the villa is, was proved one evening by my 17 year old daughter Ella who asked could we please just have a pool and villa day tomorrow...we had been having pool days for the last 3! The attention to detail is superb with the lovely Ifran visiting twice daily to tend to the garden and pool area also brings fresh bread each morning should you so wish. Karyn, the property manager can organise anything from a jeep ride to the local Gorge, (well worth a visit), to recommending the best markets to buy your fruit and vegetables from. Giillie booked us a boat trip, well in advance of our stay, with Captain Ali and his sidekick Jimmy plus beautiful little girl Lucy. Lucy swam with us and sought out turtles for us to swim with; we had the most sumptuous feast of Turkish dishes and stopped several times for snorkelling and beach visits. Ending with Tea and cake in a small bay! BBQ's in the evening at the Villa were fun, and the local buthchers were very helpful and provided good quality lamb and köfte. Views are stunning, beds are comfortable and the villa is immaculately clean. The kitchen is well equipped. We will return here for sure some day.

“A lovely villa in a great resort” This was our third visit to Kalkan. We love it. The resort suits our family needs, with fantastic restaurants in a lovely harbour town. Yes, Kalkan is hilly but we knew that and down in the harbour area it adds to the attraction with tiers if roof-top restaurants. We always hire a car to get about, particularly to go to Patara beach - just 10 to 15 minutes drive up the coast and the best beach I've been to in the Med. As for Villa Teshir, Ray and Gill couldn't have been more helpful and friendly throughout. They helped us with transfers and car hire and even tried to help us accommodate other family members in premises not owned by them. The villa itself is in an excellent location with stunning views up and away from the busier part of town. Other than to sleep and shower, we didn't spend a lot if time indoors but when we did, it was clean and comfortable. The pool area is lovely and in August the water was without any chill. Highly recommended resort and villa.

“Charming apartment in great location!” Stayed here with my husband and a friend after a cruise of the Aegean Sea. We were pleased by the location because we just had to tell the taxi drivers to take us to the Galata Tower and we found that everyone of them drove down our street and we just had to say "Stop here!" That was important to us because we'd stayed In an apt in Athens that all the taxi drivers had trouble finding. We also enjoyed being near that area because after returning from a day of touring, my friend and I could safely go to the nearby shops to do some shopping while my husband rested at home. There are lots of taxis around the Tower which is about a block and a half from the apt. and we paid an average of about $10 US to go to or return from Sultanamet where most of the tourist sites are. The apt. Is simply but tastefully decorated and is charming if you appreciate older buildings like we do. It was great having an extra bathroom with a toilet and sink. We had a very nice meal our last night at the restaurant with the large outdoor eating area across from the Tower and another night at the Anemon Hotel with a great view of the Old City and the Tower. Fuuat went to extra trouble to make sure we were picked up by the driver they arranged for to get us to the airport on time very early in the morning. The area immediately surrounding the apt. Is like much of Istanbul with some buildings being restored and others sorely needing help. We were very satisfied with the condition of the building we were in. It's a great value for the cost. We prefer renting apts. in a neighborhood to renting hotels. Thank you Fuuat for your kind and attentive service!

“Fantastic!” we have just returned from a 2 week stay and had an amazing time, the villa is perfect. Spent everyday around the pool which is a great size and felt totally chilled by the end. The pool and villa were cleaned nearly everyday and nothing was too much trouble for anyone. We used the facilities at the orka hotel a few times which were an added bonus that you don't normally get in a villa, they even pick you up in a minibus if its too hot for the 5 minute walk! If your looking for a villa in turkey then this is the one!

“Amazing villa in a special town” You’re spoilt for choice in Kalkan when it comes to villas and we’ve stayed in a number of fantastic places on our trips to this special town. Sea Breeze may just be the best we’ve found. There are a number of factors that make it so. Interior - The most comfortable and well appointed villa we’ve stayed in. The finish is that of a well loved home and no expense has been spared on getting everything just right. The owners seem to have thought of everything practical and added a number of luxuries. The kitchen in particular is extremely well stocked and the view from the main work surface makes a bit of self catering a real pleasure. The 2 upper floor bedrooms are light and airy with spectacular views out over the sea. The beds are comfortably firm and fitted with high quality linen. Exterior - Apple TV and a large comfortable sofa provide a perfect option if you’re unlucky with the weather but most of our time was spent taking in the spectacular views from the villa’s wonderful outside spaces. The two bedroom balconies provide a great viewing platform, the second of the two giving some early shade. The pool area stays sunny throughout the day and there is a variety of seating and dining furniture. Downstairs, the shaded games area is perfect for a break from the sun and there’s a handy bar with a fridge and sink. Location - High enough to take advantage of the spectacular views but not so far that a 20 minute stroll into town isn’t too much of a strain. The uphill walk back might prove a little too much for many given the heat and inevitable full stomachs so a regular taxi at around 15 lira is something to factor into your budget. As a relatively new villa, Sea Breeze isn’t well known amongst the local taxi drivers so we found directing to the older neighbouring Villa Yunus saved any confusion. A small mini market has just opened a hundred yards from the villa which is extremely convenient and not badly priced. Service - The villa management team do a great job. We had bread delivered daily and the villa is cleaned every day at the time you specify. Nothing was ever too much trouble and the brilliant Ramazan even helped resolve a small dispute we had with a taxi driver. The villa owners have also been extremely helpful leading up to our trip, with quick and friendly responses to all our questions. Our transfers were pre-arranged and the hour and a half journeys were comfortable and punctual. Staying in the Villa Sea Breeze helped enhance a fantastic family holiday immeasurably. A lot of thought has gone into the customer experience and there was no stress involved at any stage from initial booking through to a sad farewell. We’ll certainly be back and thank the owners and the management team for their care and hard work.

“'Absolutely fabulous' - this villa is truly a wonderful place to stay, in the wonderful resort of Kalkan.” An absolutely wonderful villa in one of the nicest spots in Kalkan. We have stayed at the villa twice now and I think it only gets better. The villa is ideally situated within Kalkan, within walking distance of the lovely restaurants but also very hand for the Kalkan beach club. Inside the villa is ideal for a family of 4; the new bathroom was a great addition this year. The shower is powerful and ideal after a hard day of sunbathing. There is a rooftop terrace which is lovely to sit in for a pre dinner or after dinner apperitif. For us, the highspot is the fantastic pool and magnificent garden area. It is just a haven annd a great getaway from all the stresses at home. The pool is one of the biggest we have seen for 2-bedroomed villas and the 4 of us have spent many lovely hours in the pool.

“A fabulous holiday!!!” We arrived at Dalaman airport and our transfer to the accommodation was waiting. The transfer took about an hour. Emma, who works in the office on site was there to greet us and showed us to our apartment. The apartment was spacious and very clean with everything you could have possibly needed for your stay. We were allocated our own sunbeds which was great as you are not having to get up in a morning to get your beds. The pool and surrounding gardens were very clean and well kept. Our apartment was cleaned twice each week and clean linen weekly. The location of the property was perfect as it was a two minute walk from the shops and bars but also far enough away at night so that you were not disturbed. We really enjoyed visiting the "Oh Yes Bar" which was just at the back of our apartment. Murat, Ali and Febze were really friendly and welcoming. Our favourite eating place was The Sunset Restaurant. We travelled with two children both aged 6 and they had a wonderful time as well. What a fantastic holiday!!!!

“Manzarali apartment - wow what a great view” We stayed at the Manzaralli apartment from 10th June 2013 for 2 weeks and it was amazing. The apartment is beautiful but the view can only be described as breathtaking. From the moment we arrived we knew that we had made the right choice. The walk into the town is fine but very steep on the way back (Taxi’s are a great idea). I can recommend the Bodega ? Fish restaurant in the mountains, the trout is gorgeous as are the views. The road to get there is a bit hairy in place but worth the drive. The town is lovely with loads of bars & restaurants ( and plenty of shops!!), we enjoyed the Nar‘s Rooftop Restaurant for a special steak and the Bougonville for really traditional Turkish food. We were lucky to have a BBQ on our terrace so we also enjoyed sitting watching the sunset with a simple BBQ, salad and a chilled glass of wine especially after a long hot day out on the boat. If you like to go out to sea I can definitely recommend Captain’s Osman & his Brother Adem (Yildiz 2 & 3) who are brilliant as are their wives who provide fantastic food. We also went on a trip with Ramazan (the next boat along in the harbour) which was also really good. There are many choices of beach clubs but we found that the Palm Beach club, close to the apartment was great, easy to walk down to but a challenge to get back up the hill. We used to take advantage of the free water taxi across to the harbour, do a little shopping, have a drink (of course) and stroll back at a leisurely pace!!. All in all we had a really great time and would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t got restricted mobility

“Fantastic” Having read previous reviews we had quite high expectations of this villa and it did not disappoint. The location is perfect for strolling down to the town in the evenings but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to give the feeling of quiet and privacy during the day. The villa itself has everything you would need and is decorated to a high standard. The gardens and pool are lovely. We arranged a private transfer to and from the airport which we could not fault. All in all we had an excellent holiday and would like to return again next year.

Very spacious with 4 double rooms (all en-suite). Great pool. Owners very thoughtful with information/service provided and how the villa is equipped etc.! Would definitely recommend this villa and go again. Kalkan is a great location too! With great restaurants etc.

“What a wonderful villa to stay in, Home from home!” We stayed in Villa Bahce at the end of July & found the villa to be a wonderful place for a relaxing family holiday. The owners have made this villa a home from home with every comfort you could need. It was so hot in Kalkan (nearly 40 degrees most days) so having air conditioning & the wonderful pool were essential. The villa is quite high up the hillside but this allows for a breeze which is very welcome during the hottest part of the day. The villa was furnished to a very high standard & with the added bonus of the roof top terrace & patio seating areas, it made for a wonderful place to just relax & enjoy the view. In the evening we sat with a glass of wine, looking out at the view over the bay, which was all lit up. Life doesn't get much better than that! The maids come every day, as did the poolman/gardener & they were very helpful & friendly. There is a very steep walk down into the town & I would recommend ladies do not try wearing high heels but there is always a taxi available in town to take you back up the hill home & they are very reasonable. Kalkan is a wonderful town with a wide variety of restaurants & shops. The food was wonderful & the people so friendly. We will definately return sometime in the future,.

“Perfect” I went with three friends to stay at these amazing cottages. Our hostess met us with olives picked from her garden and invited us to fresh figs from her trees. This was one of the most relaxing vacations that I have ever taken, in such a beautiful location. It is worth the drive from the airport and I am glad we were away from the crowds in Side. I recommend these cottages unreservedly--for families with kids who love to swim, romancing couples, writers in need of quiet and inspiration, and runners (the trails on the mountain above the house were great!). I will definitely be back!

“Great place to stay in Istanbul” We just spent 4 nights at this apartment and used it as our home base for touring around Istanbul. It's location is perfect; I don't think there is a better place to stay in Istanbul than the area around Galata Tower. The apartment was perfect for my me and my wife and three kids and had everything we needed. Being on the third floor tended to be a bit of a hike after a full day of touristing but what better way to burn off some baklava. The transfers they offer from the airport make life easy although they are quite expensive compared to taxis or public transport. Istanbul is one of the world's great cities and Aslan Place is a great place to enjoy it from.

“Lovely villa with all amenities and in great condition” I would go back again. The property managers were first class and couldn't do enough to help, from stocking the fridge prior to arrival to giving advice on the local area and arranging transfers to and from the airport. It's so useful to have someone to talk to about the holiday who's actually living in the vicinity. The villa was clean, air con in all rooms ( except the games room but there are fans in there anyway) and looked great. Pool was good and cleaned every morning but it was too hot to consider cooking with the poolside BBQ! Bedrooms were nicely furnished. I will be considering returning.

“Fabulous villa in a good location for getting around with plenty of space with an excellent view of Kalkan bay” This is our third time in Kalkan and we really loved this property which my partner and I stayed in along with his sister and brother-in-law so we had plenty of space in the villa which was very well equipped and had everything you could possibly need including music, TV and games. The pool is spotless, the hammocks glorious along with some pretty flowers on show. The management of the villa are extremely helpful and pleasant as is Felicity the owner. The location of the villa is excellent at the top of the hill across from the bus station and the Tuesday market which was great and we never had to take a taxi home this year as it is within walking distance from the shops and restaurants. The Turkish hammam is just down the road to get yourself into relaxation mode and scrubbed down for getting a good tan!. I would thoroughly recommend this villa and we hope to return again soon.

“The heart of Istanbul and Beyoglu!” You must stay here at least once in your life. My husband and I are in our 30's/40's and had never been to Istanbul before. We were originally looking to stay in the Sultanahmet District (closer to the main sites) until some friends living in Turkey suggested otherwise. They said it's more for families and not much to do at night. We both still love to go out and have a good time and wanted to stay right in the heart of Istanbul, so our friends recommended the Beyoglu District. That's how we found Pera Place. We absolutely loved Pera Place! You won't find a better location and a more beautiful and cozy apartment than this place! It is a really comfortable size, beautifully renovated, has all the basic amenities you need, and is located in the most happening area in Istanbul. It's one block walk to Iztiklal Street and Nevizade, where all the the restaurants, bars and live music are. It's about a 15 min walk to Galata, 20 mins to the Tram or Tunnel, or 30 mins to downtown. We walked everywhere and loved every minute of it because there is so much to see and explore along the way. If you are looking for a nice, quiet place to relax, this is not the place for you. It's located on a very busy street, and around 6pm every night, music begins to make its way out of every nearby bar and club, and it is loud. For us, it was motivation to go out when we came home tired from walking all day. For anyone who truly wants to feel the pulse of this amazing city and enjoy the nightlife here in Istanbul, this place is for you. For sleeping, the owners have prepared for the noise level by providing a more sound-proofed bedroom, inner doors that separate the living room, and a white noise machine which was a godsend. We had trouble sleeping the first night until we found that, but once we did, we got the best sleep. (In fact, we bought the same white noise machine back in the us as a result!) We can't recommend Pera Place! enough. This is what Istanbul is all about!
