Llanberis holiday home rental

Llanberis house

3 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6

“A relaxing secluded and very cosy cottage” When I looked up Snowdon cottage the first thing I wanted to know whether it was close to the mountains of Snowdonia. Once I had spoken to Anne the owner all was clarified. It is in the heart of Llanberis. Everything you need to see is on your doorstep.Upon arrival to the Cottage there's a driveway where you can park your car off street. The cottage is lovely really cosy and homely . Well equipped kitchen where we cooked for 3nights. The living room has an open fire which just made it lovely and warm. The bedrooms are spacious and well lit. Overall the cottage is clean and in excellent condition. The landlords Anne and Jim were very accommodating and friendly which makes us want to come back to Llanberis. Thank you Jim for starting the fire for us on the first night and supplying more logs.

“Perfect accomodation in a great location” This is really good sized accommodation quite deceptive as it looks smaller. Everything you need is there and it's nice to have somewhere that welcomes dogs and children?

“Beautiful stay!” My partner and I had a fantastic, last minute stay at this beautiful home! A quiet, comfortable home in a scenic part of Wales. Bethan was a brilliant host! We arrived virtually unannounced (WiFi problems in the area) but Bethan did not turn us away and quickly got the house prepared for our stay!

“Ideal Location and perfect accomodation for our needs” Firstly location, ideal for exploring around the northern area of Pembrokeshire coast, for example: Broad Haven, Newgale, Solva, St Davids and Whitesands, etc. Also not too far away from our favourites of Tenby, Saundersfoot and Wisemans Bridge. The accommodation was great, compact for the 2 of us, but would sleep 4 with the use of the sofa bed, which we didn't use. Excellent communication from the owner "Annie" from the start. Very clean on arrival, good tv seating area and good all round kitchen and bathroom areas. The house faces south, utilising the sun on the terrace during the day, The house is situated within a 20 second walk to the first of three well served pubs, providing good quality food. Also of note in this day and age, excellent Wi Fi Connection As you can probably read into this review, we enjoyed very much our stay. Julie & Steve

“So impressed and happy we've already booked 2018!!!!” Absolutely delightful property and location. Superbly finished with all facilities and amenities required for a break. Short stroll to the beach, shops, and all local dog friendly hostelries. Debbie, the host, is quick to reply and extremely helpful with all necessary details and information for the property and also the local area for places to see and visit.

“Brilliant house- highly recommended” Our second visit to Conwy Lodge was as great as the first. Lovely and clean on arrival with tea, coffee, biscuits and milk. Good quality towels and bedding provided. Lovely enclosed garden- safe for toddlers and we got to use the garden furniture this year!! Surrounded by a field which this year contained cows- makes you feel like you're in the countryside when in fact you are less than 10 minutes drive to both beaches and all shops. We had an issue with the electricity on Sunday evening which was very swiftly rectified by Mark from the management team. Very pleased again with our visit here and hope we can return again.

Holiday apartment with golf nearby in Wales

Tenby apartment

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 5

“Great apartment and location.” This apartment a very central location in Tenby, minutes from the beaches, shops, bars and restaurants; this was a lovely place to stay for a few days (even with the building works, which we fully were warned about). The apartment was very clean and well equipped, with everything necessary for a comfortable stay and a bit more. Picking up and dropping off the keys was very straightforward. I would thoroughly recommend this place, if you don't mind a top floor location and a bit of noise; the building work wasn't too intrusive, and will presumably end at some point; also, it is very near to a lot of pubs and restaurants.

“A great holiday in a great house” Unusually, the pictures didn't lie! We were hoping for a great holiday home and Oceana delivered! Fantastic views, great pool - decent size. The walk back from Saundersfoot is a bit of a challenge - but is made much easier by going via the St Brides Hotel bar (More great views!)

Holiday cottage in Wales

Angle cottage

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Stunning location, cosy cottages.” We have stayed at both The Stable and The Dairy, the latter was May 2011 and we stayed at The Stable in May 2008. Both cottages are extremely cosy and comfortable and in an absolutely stunning location. I really felt the need to add a review after reading the last awful comment left by the family who stayed in August 2011. I'm totally shocked that they could describe such a beautiful place in such a negative way. I have read the guest books in each cottage and I can honestly say there wasn't one bad comment and guests seem to return again and again, so that says it all! So to sum things up in short, Angle beach is CLEAN, safe and just 2 minutes walk. There are stunning coastal walks, one we did was to Freshwater West beach, amazing views of sea and countryside (not industrial), oh there may be slight glimpses of BP Milford Haven, but that's more mystical in a funny way than ugly. The cottages themselves are well equipped and cosy, a lovely base to go back to after a great day out in this fantastic area. Last point to mention, you don't have to go all the way to Pembroke dock to shop, there's a perfectly good Co-op in the beautiful medieval town of Pembroke, which is 10-15 minutes drive.

“Fantastic stay!” Great location to shops, promenade, restaurants etc! Beautifully furnished, 5 star luxury. House has all the amenities for either small or large families. Weather was superb while we were there, but the house makes it a home from home in the event you are house bound. Well recommended and great value. Certainly will revisit soon.

Holiday apartment in Cardiff Bay

Cardiff Bay apartment

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 5

“Exceptional” We have never stayed in a holiday letting that has been so thoughtfully equipped. We loved it. Fittings and furniture were of the highest quality, and every attempt has been made to ensure that the guests have a comfortable and relaxing stay (Right down to the reading glasses provided for forgetful visitors!). The apartment is well located - with the full length window in the living area giving a lovely view of the river. The bus stop is two minutes away, and a taxi ride back from Cardiff city at night was very reasonably priced. To be honest though, we could have spent the three days just in the apartment - we loved it so much. Will definitely return.

“Cosy cottage not too far off the beaten track.” Picked this location to explore the many beaches to the North of the island. It was perfect for that and coming "home" in the evening to light the fire was a real treat. This cottage is well equipped and has all you would need in your home from home.

“Fantastic stay” Lovely cottage, found clean & tidy on arrival. Very spacious for the five of us, 3 adults, 2 children & our dog. Had everything we needed, wifi a bonus. Amazing views to wake up to every morning, enough parking space for both cars and the green area across the road through a small gate was great for taking the dog for walks, leads to a little beach too. Short walk into Barmouth with lots of places to eat and drink, shops, amusements and a fair for the kids and beautiful beaches, also a co-op to do a bit of shopping. Would recommend Harlech for a drive out. Overall a great holiday and would stay at this cottage again if we return to Barmouth anytime.

“The Perfect Getaway” We have just returned from our stay at this cottage and have had a perfect holiday. The cottage is top quality and has everything you could wish for and more! The view from the bedroom balcony is stunning, and a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine. The location is excellent, away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to visit the many local attractions. We look forward to returning during the cooler months so that we can enjoy the wood burner. Many thanks to Ann and Peter for the wine to celebrate our anniversary, such a lovely thing to do. I will be recommending this cottage to family and friends. Thankyou!!

“Holds a special place in my heart and highly recommend” I have been staying here with my family since I was a little girl and now love returning with my own family. It is just as good coming with friends which I have also done a few times so is suitable for adults and families alike. The farm is a lovely location to base your stay in a lovely part of Wales. Walking down to the beach through the fields is only a short walk and any children staying will enjoy seeing all the sheep and cows! The courtyard next to the cottage is a fantastic place to enjoy meals outdoors, to read the paper or let the children play whilst admiring the sea view. The accommodation ticks all the boxes, is clean, has a fully equipped kitchen and is nice and cosy! The laundry room is a bonus too! We love feeding Sugar and Spice the ponies who have been there as long as we have been visiting. The thing that really makes this farm special is Mrs Pugh and family who always make us feel so welcome. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking at staying.

“Fantastic stay” The cottage was as described within easy walking distance of all local amenities and a great base for exploring Anglesey. It’s clear that the owners take pride and are considerate about their guests having a relaxing stay. Beaumaris itself is beautiful, crabbing off the pier was great fun and a trip to puffin island was well worth it. We also visited Plas Newydd and were lucky enough to see the red squirrels.

“Lovely little place” Easy to find stable conversion away from the main road but within easy reach of shops and restaurants. Coed Stable has been tastefully converted to a very high standard, fully furnished and very well equipped, very comfortable. It was lovely just to sit in the courtyard in the evening watching the sunset over Cader Idris. We used this as our base for 4 days, visiting Harlech, Porthmodog, tallylyn railway. Cross foxes is the local pub which does good food. Nearby Dolgellau has some nice restaurants

Holiday cottage in Mumbles

Mumbles cottage

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Excellent comfortable, cosy & quiet accomodation in a beautiful area of South Wales” The cottage is excellent. It is very modern, well equipped and very suitable to travelling couples although it will accommodate up to 4 people. It is situated in a quiet residential area of Mumbles with no more than a 5-10 minute stroll to the huge Swansea Bay. The cottage is a completely separate part of the owners Chris and Sarah's property who may I add were superb hosts for which nothing was too much trouble. One of the reasons we chose Riversdale Cottage was its actual location and we were richly rewarded.. It is ideally situated to explore the absolutely delightful Gower Peninsula with its beautiful coastline & beaches. There are also a number of beautiful country parks nearby i.e Clyne Valley, Gnoll, Margam and Afan Forest. Should you wish to venture a little further than why not try the Brecon Beacons or the delightful Tenby. I have no reservation at all in recommending Riversdale Cottage and although we never usually return to the same area or holiday accommodation we may make an exception with Riversdale Cottage and the Gower. Thanks once again to Chris and Sarah for their hospitality.

“Excellent property in a beautiful location” We have just returned from a fabulous week staying at this lovely property. It is very comfortable and everything you could wish for is provided. The garden and seating area were fully used as the sun shone for the whole week and the view from the garden over the sea to the mountains of Snowdonia was spectacular. You can relax immediately. The agents only being next door was very good and they are both really friendly and helpful. I can recommend the fish and chip shop and Anns Pantry in Moelfre as well as The Old Boathouse at Red Wharf Bay if you want a break from cooking. Hope to be back next year.

“A little slice of luxury...” We had high expectations after reading what the apartment included on the website but our mind was absolutely blown when we walked in. The apartment was spacious, clean and crisp. For us, it was the little touches like the books and DVDs on the shelf that made if so special. As graduates returning for a reunion it was fantastic value for money and exceeded all expectations. We've already discussed visiting again during Easter.

Wales holidays

Epic mountains, rousing choirs, stunning scenery and a lyrical language; Wales may be small, but its landscape and culture is mighty. Expect a warm ‘croeso’ (welcome) as bright and cheery as a daffodil and rugby-pitch loads of fun when you visit this extraordinary country.

Mountain Adventures

Is that mist rising from the hills or Welsh dragon smoke? For views that will make you catch your breath, ascend the stunningly beautiful Snowdon surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park. If you’re feeling too tired to clamber back down, why not hop aboard the mountain railway? Speaking of railways, one of the best ways to see the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons is from the comfort of a steam train carriage. If that sounds too easy, how about having a go at horse riding near Pen y Fan? Other must-see mountains include the Tryfan in Snowdonia and the Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire.

City Sights

Wales’ capital Cardiff is jam-packed with things to see and do. If you’re a rugby fan, be sure to check out the iconic Millennium Stadium that’s been hosting major events since 1999. Cardiff Bay is the perfect place to spend an afternoon and, if you’re a Doctor Who enthusiast, you’ll find the Doctor Who Experience here, too.

Coast To Coast

If you like to be beside the seaside and still be close to the buzz of the city, you can have your Welsh cake and eat it in Swansea. For beautiful bays and wonderful walks, head to the Gower Peninsula and for literary types, the Dylan Thomas Birth Place is sure to impress. To see Britain’s smallest city, travel west to St David’s in Pembrokeshire. Its stunning cathedral, independent shops and glorious coast will have you coming back year after year. Tempted? Choose from hundreds of cottages and log cabins in Wales.

Slade Barn Gower
Wonderful, dog-friendly base from which to explore the beautiful Gower

Beautiful, historic barn conversion, nestling on a hillside, a short walk from the lovely (and very tranquil) Slade Sands. The cottage is elegantly furnished and very well equipped. It was great to find the welcome starters (not only coffee- and tea- making things, but also home-made jam, bubbly, delicious local biscuits, and flowers). In spite of some showery weather, we had a really wonderful week: walking the coastal path (five minutes walk from the door); exploring the Gower’s numerous amazing beaches; and discovering the botanical gardens in Swansea (about 10 miles away). The cottage was a very comfortable base, and our extended family loved it. As did our two dogs - particularly the safe enclosed garden, and the fantastic walks from the door. Huge thanks to Martin for making everything operate so smoothly.see more
Bryn Crin
Delightful cottage with everything we needed

We stayed at Bryn Crin with our 2 dogs as a base whilst walking the Lyn peninsula Wales coastal path . It is an idyllic location and a real treat to watch the cows passing by for milking . The cottage is very clean and spacious and extremely well equipped with everything you could need . The enclosed garden was great for the dogs and Annwen was a superb host providing fresh eggs and homemade ice cream which was delicious . Shame the next section of the coastal oath is too far away to stay again!see more

What a place......

We booked this for my fathers 80th birthday. Firstly what a stunning house. The attention to detail is amazing and it is such as lovely place to be. The views over Prestatyn are amazing and genuinely take your breath away. We stayed for two nights but we certainly be returning. There are a lot of steps to get from road level to the house front door but this is all forgotten when you see the views. Excellent place and would highly recommend.see more
St Mary's House - Townhouse close to the beach
Beautiful house in the historic heart of Tenby

Saint Mary's house is warm, cozy, comfortable, delightful; a perfect base for anything you'd want to do in the area. The location is amazing - right in the heart of old Tenby, but on a very quiet street. Just a few houses down at the end of the street, there's a grandstand view of St. Catherine's Island, Caldey Island, and South beach. Two minutes more and you're at the harbor - where one of our biggest delights was discovering the tiny but superb fishmonger's. Several nights we bought bream or sole there and then cooked our "catch" in the spacious and well-equipped St. Mary's House kitchen. The kitchen has a six burner stove, plenty of workspace, lots of pans, plates and glassware--it would be a great place for cooking for a crowd and the table would easily accommodate a large group. Although it was just the two of us, it was easy to see that St. Mary's house would be perfect for a larger family trip (which we're already planning) or for several couples sharing an adventure. The two large and comfortable living rooms would mean plenty of space for group activities or for some quiet time. We had a wonderful time. We may be biased - it was about 25 degrees with barely a cloud in the sky for our whole late September stay. In weather like that, don't miss Caldey Island, or the two-mile walk down South beach and up onto the bluffs, or the four miles north over the headlands to Saundersfoot. But it wasn't hard to imagine how in wet weather you could curl up contentedly with a book, and make occasional forays out to one of the local pubs or restaurants for delicious food. Outstanding.see more

Another great holiday!

Back this time for a week’s holiday after having a weekend last year. Was a perfect getaway for us for our first family holiday with our 4 month old. The cottage is in a fantastic location to get all over the island, and has everything we needed to make ourselves a home from home! Our holiday consisted of lazy mornings, beach, coastal and Forrest walks with the most beautiful scenery (Newbourgh was amazing!!) long lunches in some lovely restaurants, followed by cosy nights in watching films and cooking our evening meal in. It was perfect! Thanks a lot Helen!see more
