Went in Mid-April 2013 and the weather was not the best so was looking to make more use of the jacuzzi/sauna/pool facilities however these were not working efficiently or not heated to the appropriate temp to warrant use. Nice cottage, fully equipped, very clean, all working kitchen amenities etc. Nice location for alternative styles of stay, especially when the pool etc. gets sorted. Cleaners were happy to wait while we checked out 45mins late which was nice.
Dear Mr Gibson, Thanks for taking the time to write a review we like to see all feedback. I've looked into the points raised and unfortunately there were a few issues when you stayed. The pool was fine and at the correct temperature however due to the air temperature being cold it may have felt cold. However the jacuzzi had a problem with the chemical balance that couldn't be rectified with chemicals and had to be drained. Once it's been refilled it then takes another 48 hours to heat up. There was also a problem with the sauna too it kept tripping out in the morning. We've since had an electrician in to fix the problem. I'm sorry you didn't get to use it to it's full potential but sometimes things like this are out of our control. We are glad you enjoyed your cottage and hope to welcome you back again soon. Very comfortable, cleaned to a high standard, nicely furnished - the reclining sofas in the lounge were a nice touch. Kitchen well fitted with appliances etc. rooms very warm and ample hot water. Would have liked the jacuzzi and sauna to be open and in use. Overall a very pleasant stay and would recommend it to others.
Hi Tony, Thanks for your positive review, we are glad you had an enjoybale comfortable time. We are confused as to the jacuzzi and sauna comment though as I've just checked with the manager and he said it was open? There is a key code to get in which is written in the guest information book. I'm sorry the cleaners didn't pick up on this beforehand. I've also clarified the distance to Mawnan Smith and it's 1.8 miles so I wil be changing the description sorry about that it was our understnding it was a mile.
