Terms and Conditions of HouseTrip’s Sardinia Holiday Prize Draw

1 HouseTrip Limited (HouseTrip) is offering the Sardinia Holiday Prize Draw (Promotion) to residents of any member state of the European Union and Switzerland aged 18 or over who have not previously registered their details with HouseTrip. The Promotion is not available to employees (and their families) of HouseTrip, or of any member of the HouseTrip group of companies, any agents of those companies and anyone else professionally involved with the Promotion or HouseTrip. HouseTrip reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promotion is void where prohibited by law.

2 The Promotion starts on 12 May 2014 and all entries must be received before midnight (BST) on 1 July 2014 (Promotion Period).

3 Entrants to the Promotion must register on the HouseTrip website (www.housetrip.com). Entry is restricted to one per person and registration must be received during the Promotion Period. Entrants must enter their name and a valid email to participate and must not previously have registered their details with HouseTrip. No purchase is necessary.

4 Postal entries will also be accepted if posted to the following address: HouseTrip Ltd, 5th and 6th Floor, Corinthian House, 279 Tottenham Court Road, London W1T 7RJ, United Kingdom stating name and email address.

5 One winner will be drawn at random from all the valid entries received by HouseTrip during the Promotional Period.

6 The winner of the Promotion will be contacted by email at the email address provided to HouseTrip within 10 working days of end of the Promotional Period and will be required to confirm acceptance within 3 days of notification.

7 If HouseTrip is not able to contact the winner or if the winner is unable to confirm their acceptance of the prize, HouseTrip reserves the right to select an alternative winner at random and the original winner’s entitlement will lapse.

8 HouseTrip may also ask the winner to provide proof of his/her age, postal address, and/or country of residence.

9 The prize as described is available on the date of publication of these terms and conditions.

10 The winner will receive air travel to Sardinia and a 3-night stay for up to four people at a property of his/her choice located in Sardinia, Italy among those listed on HouseTrip.com to a maximum stay value of €1,000. The stay must be taken before 30 Jun 2015; precise dates of the stay must be agreed with HouseTrip and are subject to availability of the property. The stay is on a self-catering basis. The cost of economy class airfare (including one piece of luggage per person and taxes) for up to four people is included as well as return ground transfer costs from/to the airport in Sardinia up to a value of €200, all to be booked by HouseTrip on behalf of the winner.

11 The prize is not transferable. No cash alternative is available.

12 The prize excludes meals and drinks, excursions, attractions, travel insurance, personal expenses and visas. The winner and their companions must hold a current and valid passport and any other relevant travel documentation required for travel to and entry to Sardinia.

13 It is the responsibility of the winner to inform HouseTrip of any wheelchair or similar access requirements for the winner and/or their companion when taking up the prize, to select an appropriate property, and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines.

14 Where any of the winner’s companions are under 18 years old, they must have prior parental or guardian permission and must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over when taking up the prize.

15 The winner’s name and country will be available by 21 Jul 2014 on the prize page at http://www.housetrip.com/about/sardinia_contest_terms.

16 If HouseTrip has suspicions or knowledge that any entrant has been involved in any fraudulent or illegal activity, HouseTrip may disqualify that entrant and any related entrants in its absolute discretion.

17 HouseTrip may also disqualify any entrant that does not act in accordance with these terms and conditions or HouseTrip’s rules and policies.

18 Entries or prizes may be withdrawn by HouseTrip from persons using the Promotion in a way which HouseTrip deems inappropriate at its sole discretion.

19 In the event of circumstances arising outside of HouseTrip’s control, which in HouseTrip’s opinion make it necessary to suspend, change or cancel the Promotion, HouseTrip reserves the right to suspend, change or cancel the Promotion at any time. This includes the ability to substitute any prize of equivalent value, change the specification of the prize if circumstances require it or change the entry methods.

20 HouseTrip or the prize providers reserve the right to add additional terms and conditions for the prize awarded as a part of this Promotion.

21 English Law governs this Promotion. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

22 HouseTrip shall not be liable, in contract or tort (including negligence) or the breach of statutory duty or in any other way, for the loss or damage howsoever arising suffered by the entrant resulting directly or indirectly from entry to this Promotion. Nothing in these terms shall limit HouseTrip’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or fraud.

23 By entering, winners irrevocably grant HouseTrip permission to use his or her name, likeness, biographical and HouseTrip related information for advertising, promotional or publicity purposes, including on the prize winner page at http://www.housetrip.com/about/sardinia_contest_terms. The winner may also be required to sign a Publicity Release Form.

24 HouseTrip reminds entrants of the nature and limitations of the Internet and is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any communications network, online system or computer hardware or software that may affect entry to the Promotion or receipt of prize. Proof of posting will not be taken as proof of receipt.

25 By entering the Promotion, entrants acknowledge and agree that HouseTrip may use the details you provide:

26 Although HouseTrip will use reasonable efforts to ensure that all information relating to the Promotion (Promotional Material) is accurate, HouseTrip is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any communications network, online system or computer hardware or software failure that may affect HouseTrip’s operation of the Promotion or the HouseTrip site, including without limitation the accuracy of any Promotional Material.

27 HouseTrip may use third parties to facilitate one or more elements of this Promotion and we may provide some of your personally identifiable information to them. These third party service providers are subject to confidentiality agreements with us and other legal restrictions that prohibit the use of the information we provide them for any other purpose except to facilitate the specific outsourced HouseTrip related operation.
