Holiday rentals in Cala Figuera

Cala Figuera is one of the less explored coastal towns on the southern tip of Majorca. One reason may be that there are no tourist beaches in the immediate vicinity. But the town makes up for that by its proximity to the beautiful Mondragó Natural Park, home to a number of protected wildlife. The town has a small, sheltered harbour at the end of a natural inlet, and even today there are a number of active fishermen which are allowed to fish around the nature reserve. The harbour area is renowned for its remarkable, traditional cottages with lively local activities.

You will not find very many hotels in this traditional village, although there are a number of purpose built apartments in Cala Figuera which are available for rent. If you prefer a more traditional home, you can also find a place in one of the old houses of the town, either right in the historic centre or a bit further out. Not only is it often cheaper than the equivalent hotel rooms – particularly if you are travelling with children or in a group of friends – but you also have more privacy and obviously additional living space.
